Senior Project Manager - Olympics (LTD)
This LTD position will run through July 31, 2027.
PURPOSE & OVERALL RELEVANCE FOR THE ORGANISATION
- Shape and influence the global Olympics strategy, driving the planning and execution of the Olympic Project & Operations strategy for both LA28 at global and local levels.
- Lead the operational management and execution of key initiatives within the adidas Brand organization, ensuring strategic alignment and seamless delivery across cross-functional projects and respective stakeholders.
- Manage LA’28 projects across the Brand portfolio, focusing on milestone achievement, effective deployment, and tangible business impact.
- Drive and implement complex, cross-functional initiatives with broad organizational reach, ensuring successful execution and realization of intended benefits.
- Continuously identify opportunities to create synergies, embed best practices, and introduce innovative approaches to optimize existing processes and strengthen project outcomes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support Global Project Lead to manage, track & report on key strategic deliverables - including budget. Support Global & NAM core team to deliver on expectations. Scope includes activation, logistics, hospitality, transportation, catering, security and venue operations etc.
- Drive the development of GTM Plans for key internal milestones readiness and related activations (pre-, during and post Games), across NAM BUs & Functions.
- Ensure strong NAM SLT stakeholder management, and support alignment with respective Global stakeholders while adhering to the global/local project plan.
- Identify Project risks and opportunities and proactively implement mitigation and optimization plans to ensure successful delivery against project objectives.
- Drive NAM Core Team and Cross-functional alignment across all Olympic-related initiatives and foster an "all-for-one" operating mindset among key stakeholders.
- Own and drive Olympic topics at NAM SLT meetings (supported by NAM LA28 Project Lead)
- Contribute to marketplace insights, news and knowledge of Olympic official stakeholders, governance structures and event operations to strengthen project planning and execution.
- Up to date information tracking and sharing regarding City of Los Angeles news, planning, insights, etc.
- Manage, track and report key Olympic operational deliverables, ensuring milestones, timelines, dependencies and accountabilities are managed effectively across functions and external partners
- Partner with Brand Marketing, Sports Marketing and other key functional teams to translate Olympic strategies into actionable project plans and execution roadmaps.
- Support the definition and implementation of tactics to optimize project performance and ensure delivery of agreed project KPIs
PROJECT CHARTER/ OBJECTIVES: Manage project charter and objectives based on framework, within given budget in collaboration with Director Projects and/or Sr. Director Projects
RESOURCES/ BUDGET: Effectively manage, track and report on project resources, including budget management (if applicable).
COMMUNICATION: Support project communication with stakeholders. Prepare communication, presentations to Steering Board, Sponsors and stakeholders.
PROCESS: Manage, govern and implement business process within project framework. Support integration into inline process.
SYSTEMS: Define system needs within project framework. Manage implementation into inline systems.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Communication skills that are clear, concise, logical
- Project Management experience
- Product experience (product marketing, design or development)
- Digital savvy
- Specialist in business or technical skills with expert knowledge in some areas of work or systems (business champ).
- Broad & deep knowledge in own functional area, combining theoretical and practical knowledge.

REQUISITE EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE / MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- University degree or equivalent education required.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in job or job function.
- Cross-functional experience, ideally within marketing and sales on a Market level
- Global mindset and ability to work cross-culturally; experience within different countries and/or different cultures
