Senior Specialist Benefits
PURPOSE: The Senior Specialist Benefits position will perform a wide variety of administrative duties related to health and welfare plans including leave administration for North America.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Benefits administration support of all Company benefit plans including medical, pharmacy, dental, vision, reimbursement accounts, time off programs, educational assistance, life and disability plans, COBRA, 401k and employee stock purchase plan.
· Interaction with third party vendors, including all carriers and brokers.
· Conducts benefits orientation for new hires.
· Coordinates annual open enrollment initiatives and on-site wellness initiatives.
· Evaluates electronic enrollment system and related data file results and initiates problem resolution.
· Responsible for adaptation of benefits communications and materials by location to ensure employees are properly educated/informed on their benefit programs.
· Serves as the subject matter expert for the leave programs in alignment and under the general direction and guidance of HR leadership and the legal department.
· Interprets and administers all aspects of the leave programs and policies in accordance with the applicable federal and state employment laws (FMLA, ADA, USERRA, Pregnancy Discrimination Act, Paid Family Leaves, etc.).
· Manages all administrative aspects of vendor invoice and billing processes to include payment tracking, Purchase Order creation, vendor payment questions, process improvements.
- Manages all administrative aspects of leave claims to include tracking of intermittent hours used/taken and working closely with HR Services and Payroll to ensure that pay is accurate and correct.
· Works closely with associates and short-term disability plan administrator to ensure that all relevant completed medical documentation is submitted for timely review.
· Maintains appropriate contact with all associates on leave and coordinates all aspects of return to work for associates on leave.
· Key system user for the adidas benefits system and coordination of system files with payroll, HRIS, 401k and other outside vendors.
· Responsible for developing and maintaining a strong working knowledge of the reporting tools within the HRIS and payroll systems and the reporting tools of each vendor.

· Knowledgeable and familiar with ERISA, FMLA, Disability, COBRA, HIPAA, Section 125 plans, Company policies, procedures and regulations regarding employee benefit issues and privacy requirements.

· Comfortable and experience working with a large employee base.
· Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information in a professional manner.
· Must possess strong mental stamina to remain positive and approachable during times of stress.

REQUISITE EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE / MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor’s Degree and/or a minimum of 1-3 years’ related job experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
