Specialist, Marketplace Planning

 

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

 

This role will be pivotal in the continued growth and overall success of the adidas Digital Marketplace and .Com promotional strategy. The Marketplace Planning Specialist will support the execution of the in-season strategy for Off Price Digital Marketplaces, eBay and ShopSimon.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Support Digital Marketplace management with eBay and ShopSimon partnerships.
  • Execute seasonal strategy for the marketplace businesses to drive top line sales and profitability to achieve targets.
  • Execute sales reporting and demonstrate ability to create insights from data that drive actionable business decisions.
  • Ensure execution of listing level detail and find solutions to technical challenges that arise.
  • Address broken and incorrect listings and manage the end to end go live technical process.
  • Own listing, product, pricing, and inventory error notifications.
  • Identify merchandising opportunities to develop consumer relevant assortments.
  • Execute markdowns that correspond to Marketplace promotions and eCom pricing strategies.
  • Data analysis: pull reports, analyze, understand results, present data, and prepare recap slides.
  • Continually challenge the status quo, think differently and push boundaries.
  • Support relationships with cross functional teams internally and externally.

  • External accounts teams (Merchandising, Marketing, Account Management, etc.)
  • adidas Digital Parter Excellence Operations
  • eCom cross functional partners (Data Analytics, Operations, Consumer Experience and Customer Service)

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to accept and meet critical deadlines with good planning and organization skills.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
  • Experience creating reports, sharing and distributing data.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Self-directed and ability to work without supervision.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Energetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideas.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including creating spreadsheets, complex formulas, and pivot tables.
  • Experience using PowerBI dashboards and exporting data a plus.
  • Experience with SAP a plus.
  • Energetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideas.
  • Understanding of retail math; sales forecasting and gross margin profitability experience a plus.

 

 

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

 

  • Minimum of 2+ years of professional work experience
  • Degree from college/university or equivalent combination of experience and education in lieu of degree
  • eCommerce, omnichannel, and/or digital commerce experience a plus

 


At adidas we offer a Hybrid work policy which requires attendance in the office Monday through Thursday, with the flexibility to work remotely on Friday each week. For work requiring a high degree of collaboration or an in-person presentation, in-office attendance is required even on Friday
