Manager Expense Management & Corporate Credit Card

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization

The position Manager Expense Management, is responsible for supporting the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of global expense management processes. This role ensures compliance with company policies, provides input to the global expense policy, and collaborates closely with stakeholders across markets and functions. The manager acts as a subject matter expert for expense processes, supports S/4HANA and other process improvement projects, and monitors process performance to identify and address gaps.

 

Key Responsibilities

Process & Policy

  • Analyze, develop, and improve end-to-end expense management processes to ensure compliance, efficiency, and user satisfaction.
  • Provide input and recommendations for updates to the global T&E policy, ensuring alignment with business needs and compliance requirements.
  • Monitor process performance, identify gaps, and propose solutions to enhance process effectiveness.
  • Maintain and update business process documentation for expense management.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

  • Act as a key point of contact for markets and internal stakeholders on expense management process topics.
  • Work closely with the S/4HANA project team and other cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation and integration of expense processes.
  • Support communication and training initiatives related to expense management processes and policy changes.

Monitoring & Reporting

  • Track and report on key process metrics, compliance, and improvement initiatives.
  • Provide regular updates to the Senior Manager Expense Management & Credit Card and other stakeholders on process status, issues, and opportunities.

Project Support

  • Participate in or lead process improvement projects related to expense management, including S/4HANA and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Support the implementation of SAP Concur Expense in new countries or process changes as required.

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong knowledge of expense management processes and best practices.
  • Excellent process, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to identify process gaps and recommend improvements.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to work with diverse, international teams.
  • Experience with expense management systems (e.g., Concur) and MS Office; S/4HANA experience is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to change.

 

Education and Experience

  • Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years’ experience in expense management or related process management roles.
  • Experience working in a global, matrixed environment is preferred.
  • Project management experience is an advantage.

Travel Requirements

  • Occasional international travel might be required primarily for project meetings, process workshops, stakeholder engagement, and training sessions.
  • Flexibility to travel at short notice may be necessary depending on project or business needs.
