Sr Manager Finance Primary Data
Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organisation
The Senior Manager Finance Primary Data is responsible for the governance, design and continuous improvement of adidas' Finance Primary Data framework.
Leading the Chart of Accounts and Financial Structures teams, this role owns the integrity, standardization, and evolution of key financial master data, including General Ledger Accounts, Profit Centers, Cost Centers, and Internal Orders. The position ensures Finance Primary Data enables accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, operational excellence, and business decision-making across the adidas Group.
Working closely with Finance, Accounting, Controlling, Reporting, and Technology teams, the role drives SAP-enabled transformation initiatives and defines the governance, standards, and roadmap for Finance Primary Data within a global SAP landscape.
Key Responsibilities

Own the global governance, design and maintenance of Finance Primary Data, including Chart of Accounts, Profit Centers, Cost Centers, Internal Orders and related reporting structures.

Define and maintain global standards, policies and controls ensuring compliance with accounting, statutory and reporting requirements.

Define and ensure the correct usage of the Primary Data elements within the existing business processes.

Ensure primary data cleansing and lean structure, including content analysis of some of the technical accounts.

Drive harmonization, simplification and automation of Finance master data across SAP S/4HANA, SAP MDG and related systems.

Ensure data quality, consistency and integrity across all Finance processes and reporting environments.

Act as the global subject matter expert for Finance Primary Data and SAP FI/CO master data.

Lead Finance Primary Data initiatives within SAP FI/CO, SAP S/4HANA, SAP MDG and related Finance platforms.

Define business requirements and partner with Technology to deliver scalable and sustainable Finance solutions.

Drive finance transformation initiatives supporting new reporting requirements, process optimization and digitalization.

Ensure readiness, adoption and successful deployment of new Finance Primary Data capabilities.

Lead Finance Primary Data teams and act as main stakeholder and coordinator for this topic.

Validate and align with business SPOCS the need and correct usage and configuration of Primary data elements.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Deep expertise in SAP FI/CO and Finance Master Data governance.

Strong knowledge of SAP S/4HANA, SAP MDG, and Finance reporting structures

Proven experience managing Chart of Accounts, Profit Centers, Cost Centers, Internal Orders, and related Finance master data in a global environment.

Strong understanding of Finance, Accounting, Controlling, and Group Reporting processes.

Experience leading Finance transformation and master data initiatives.

Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead high-performing teams.

Proven people leadership experience in international and cross-functional environments.

Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving capabilities
Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications

University degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field.

8+ years of experience in Finance, SAP FI/CO, Financial Master Data Governance, or Finance Transformation.

Proven people leadership experience and ownership of global processes, governance frameworks and transformation initiatives

Proven expertise in Chart of Accounts and/or Financial Structures management.

Experience working with SAP S/4HANA and Finance Master Data solutions.

Experience leading global initiatives and managing complex stakeholder environments.

Fluent level of English (verbal and written).
