Sr Specialist GBS Control & Analytics
Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization
The mission of this department is to ensure that the company is not facing a risk in terms of VAT Compliance.
The Senior Specialist GBS VAT Control & Analytics will be responsible to executing detailed controls over the declarations, accounting and system settings, following up in any identified issue and resolving it together with other teams/stakeholders. This role will also be responsible to support projects with VAT implications.
Key Responsibilities
- Guarantee the quality of the preparation of complex/high volume Tax declarations from end-to-end, including data extraction, controls, inputs and review
- Responsible to execute Sales Reconciliation, follow up on findings when needed and prevent reoccurrences
- Act as a point of contact for VAT matters
- Responsible to analyze the VAT implications of projects and execute necessary testings on VAT correctness
- Provide support to Corporate Tax on conducting VAT trainings to other departments when needed
- Responsible to clarify major compliance exceptions and keep up to date documentation of issues and resolutions
- Responsible for preparing all the necessary information and data for audits purposes
- Support the team on ongoing projects for the implementation of new systems

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge in VAT area within European countries (other markets will be a plus)
- Solid experience in SAP
- Profficiency in MS-Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Advanced knowledge in MS Excel
- Experience in shared service center environment is a plus
- Strong customer focus and stakeholder management skills to interact with business partners
- Ability to read, write and communicate in English in a business setting
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a multi-team environment to achieve consensous decisions, always having adidas consistent growth in mind
- Ability to pay close attention to detail and high degree of customer orientation
- Problem solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work autonomously and with tight deadlines
- Critical thinking mindset
- Availability to travel for periods of 1 to 4 weeks
Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in economics, finance, tax, legal or other related areas
- At least 3-5 years of progressive work experience in the area
