Sr Specialist GBS HR Services (Mobility)

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization

 

The Senior Specialist GBS HR Services - Mobility Operations - will be responsible for the execution of complex and high-impact mobility cases within the EMEA region.

Reporting to the Team Leader of Mobility Operations, this role ensures accurate, compliant, and timely delivery of global mobility services in line with company policies, SLAs, and regulatory requirements.

The role plays a key part in operational stability, quality assurance, and subject-matter expertise, contributing to a consistent employee experience and supporting the organization’s global talent and mobility strategy.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Operational Delivery & Case Management

  • Execute mobility operations for complex or non-standard cases (e.g. relocations, international assignments, immigration coordination) in line with global mobility policies and SLAs.
  • Independently manage assigned case portfolio, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance throughout the mobility lifecycle.
  • Provide operational support and case-level insights for escalations handled by the Team Leader.
  • Ensure complete and accurate documentation, case tracking, and adherence to internal controls and audit requirements.
  • Proactively identify risks, data issues, or case deviations and raise them to the Team Leader with mitigation proposals.

 

 

Subject-Matter Expertise & Team Support

  • Act as a subject-matter expert (SME) within the team for defined mobility topics, processes, or geographies.
  • Support onboarding, training, and informal coaching of team members through knowledge sharing and best-practice guidance.
  • Contribute to knowledge articles, process documentation, and desk procedures to strengthen team capability and resilience.
  • Serve as a reliable operational back-up within the team during peak periods or absences.

 

Stakeholder & Vendor Interaction

  • Maintain regular operational interaction with HRBPs, Talent Acquisition, Rewards / CBE, Payroll, Finance, and external vendors for assigned cases.
  • Support the Team Leader in stakeholder communications by providing case details, root cause analysis, and solution options.
  • Ensure clear, professional, and timely communication with vendors (e.g. relocation, immigration, tax providers) on case execution topics.

 

Compliance, Risk & Quality

  • Execute mobility processes in compliance with immigration, tax, labor law, and internal governance requirements.
  • Perform quality checks on own cases and support peer reviews where required.
  • Support internal and external audits by ensuring documentation accuracy and responsiveness within assigned scope.
  • Flag recurring issues, compliance gaps, or operational risks with proposals for improvement.

 

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify operational improvement opportunities based on hands-on case experience.
  • Contribute to process standardization, simplification, and automation initiatives within GBS Mobility Operations.
  • Support testing, documentation, and adoption of new tools, policies, or ways of working.
  • Use operational insights and data to support performance discussions and improvement actions.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

  • Solid expertise in global mobility operations, including relocation, immigration, and tax coordination.
  • Proficiency in MS-Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English in a business setting
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a multi-team environment to achieve consensus decisions, always having adidas consistent growth in mind
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines.
  • Hands-on problem-solving mindset with attention to detail and risk awareness.

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related areas.
  • 3+ years of progressive work experience in Global Mobility.
  • Experience working in a shared services or operational delivery environment.
  • Exposure to complex or sensitive mobility cases across multiple countries.
