Sr Specialist Global Product Supply Buy (Maternity Cover)
Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:
Execute and optimize integrated purchasing, global supply planning, and PO management activities to ensure product availability and service excellence across markets. The role drives buy execution activities, supports risk mitigation, ensures compliance with agreed business rules and market SLAs, and optimizes factory capacity utilization in line with global demand and supply constraints.
Key Responsibilities:
End-to-End Buy Execution:
- Execute purchasing activities in alignment with the global supply plan and market requirements.
- Manage PR-to-PO conversion processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with business rules.
- Execute and monitor Buy activities including pre-buy preparation, PR cleansing and consolidation, PO placement, and post-buy validation.
- Ensure timely PO creation and maintenance to secure product availability.
Stakeholder Management
- Act as key contact for assigned markets, categories, or processes.
- Collaborate closely with Market SCM, Product Supply Interface, Planning Services & DPM, Liaison Offices, and GPS Operations teams.
- Facilitate clear communication and stakeholder alignment to support business objectives.
Process Excellence & Continuous Improvement
- Own specific business processes and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Create and maintain process documentation, work instructions, and standard ways of working.
- Participate in system testing, implementation projects, and process enhancements.
- Support automation, digitalization, and standardization initiatives across Supply Creation.
- Promote Lean thinking and a continuous improvement mindset within the organization.
Leadership & Expertise
- Act as subject matter expert for assigned processes.
- Coach and support junior team members and new joiners.
- Share best practices and contribute to capability building within the team.
- Demonstrate ownership, accountability, and strong stakeholder influence across functions

- Advanced understanding of Supply Chain and Purchasing processes.

- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in global teams.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and good SAP knowledge, preferably PEU and S/4.
- Power BI knowledge is a plus.
- Fluent English, written and verbal; additional language is a plus.
Requisite Education and Experience/ Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Logistics, Operations Management, or related field.
- Master's degree is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Supply Chain, Purchasing, Planning, Allocation, or Operations.
- Experience in Apparel, Footwear, Retail, or related industries is preferred.
- Experience in global and cross-functional environments is highly desirable.
