Sr Specialist Global Product Supply Purchase Order Management (Samples)

Purpose:

Supply Chain Planning creates one integrated E2E Supply Chain Plan striving for business optimum across the full planning horizon and network in close collaboration with our business partners powered by the S&OP platform and leveraging scenario planning.

 

Provide service excellence to all Business Units & Markets through a strong understanding of their sell-in sample-related business needs. Support in streamlining and improving all processes and activities required to get samples across all product divisions produced and delivered. Participate in projects as a system and process expert for sales samples.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all sell-in sample related activities from an end-to-end process perspective, spanning from demand generation by Global Sales/Global Marketing to sample production by Sourcing and distribution to our sales organizations worldwide aiming for the highest availability.
  • Act as the sell-in sample specialist, understanding the end-to-end process on a detailed level across all product divisions, the related calendars and the various internal & external systems in use
  • Execute all sell-in sample related activities incl. calendar setup, purchase order management, internal customer delivery follow-up in close coordination with teams from various functions & locations globally, targeting the achievement of the defined service level agreement
  • Provide service excellence to Marketing and Markets as a key contact for managing all sell-in sample related issues, help to identify and address gaps
  • Play a key role in the implementation of sell-in sample related projects by providing day job views and showing a hands-on mentality on a workstream level
  • Address availability issues impacting sales activities, present potential scenarios to solve the situation (always in line with defined procedures & policies) and escalate when required
  • Provide training to HQ based functions (mainly from the Marketing area) and Markets for all samples related systems handling and execute testing for new/improved process execution in order to guarantee no disruption to the business
  • Collaborate and align effectively with BU & Operational Planning community, globally, to ensure full coverage of creation zone and sell & produce zone related tasks – i.e. from sample ordering to bulk delivery

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • Proven analytical skills and ability to solve problems
  • Good understanding of supply chain- and marketing processes
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (mainly accustomed to MS Excel) and company internal software expertise
  • Fluent in English

 

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in supply chain management or in the areas of business administration, logistics, planning, information systems from an accredited college or university
  • 2+ years of experience in supply chain management, operations or planning, preferably in the Accessories, Apparel or Footwear industries
