Team Lead GBS Meeting & Events
Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:
Provide booking and rate negotiation, while supporting administrative services for internal customers across Europe —especially Germany—in the Meetings & Events area, ensuring compliance with policies and tax regulations while driving customer satisfaction, process improvements, and cost savings. Act as a senior expert and trusted reference for the team. Support the Meetings & Events teams in Porto and Herzogenaurach by safeguarding compliance, data accuracy, and process standards, managing complex requests, driving continuous improvements, and building team capability.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support the operational Meetings & Events team; manage daily workload and ensure SLA adherence;
- Maintain effective relationships with business stakeholders and global teams to ensure smooth service delivery;
- Monitor KPIs and ensure execution of the EMEA Meetings & Events operational strategy;
- Manage end-to-end meeting and event requests in line with defined processes and compliance standards;
- Provide consultancy and execute standardized processes using Cvent;
- Source and book group accommodation and event services within approved frameworks; negotiate rates in line with procurement guidelines;
- Oversee payments, internal recharges, and accurate data transfer to finance and tax systems;
- Ensure compliance with legal, tax, and corporate policies; address deviations and non-compliance cases;
- Analyze operational reports and implement corrective actions where needed;
- Support tenders, supplier negotiations, and continuous improvement initiatives;
- Participate in projects and provide administrative and coordination support as required.
Skills & Abilities
- Experience in Business Travel and/or Meetings & EventsStrong analytical, organizational, and negotiation skills;
- Proactive improvement mindset;

- Intercultural awareness and ability to work in a fast‑paced international environment;
- Strong interpersonal communication;
- Advanced MS Office skills.
Education & Experience
- 4–6 years’ experience in accounting, business administration, or related fields;
- 1 year of experience managing small to medium-sized team;
- Experience in multinational/shared service environments;
- Proven autonomy in handling complex requests;
- Fluent in English:
- German is a plus.
