Team Lead GBS Meeting & Events
Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:
Provide consultancy, booking support, and administrative services for internal customers across Europe—especially Germany—in the Meetings & Events area, ensuring compliance with policies and tax regulations while driving customer satisfaction, process improvements, and cost savings. Act as a senior expert and trusted reference for the team. Support the Meetings & Events teams in Porto and Herzogenaurach by safeguarding compliance, data accuracy, and process standards, managing complex requests, driving continuous improvements, and building team capability.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and support the team; oversee daily operations and SLA performance;
- Maintain strong relationships with business partners and global functional teams;
- Develop KPIs and implement EMEA Meetings & Events strategy;
- Manage end-to-end event requests, including high-visibility projects;
- Provide consultancy and execute standardized processes using Cvent;
- Source and book group accommodation; manage payments and internal recharges;
- Ensure compliance with legal, tax, and corporate policies; transfer accurate data to finance and tax systems;
- Deliver training, handle non-compliance, and analyze reports for deviations;
- Gather customer feedback and support continuous improvement initiatives;
- Lead tenders, negotiations, and contract finalization with suppliers;
- Contribute to policy and process optimization and support global Travel & Expense policy execution;
- Participate in projects and provide administrative and coordination support.
Key Relationships
Global Travel, Expense & Meetings, GBS, HR (H2R), internal stakeholders, Corporate Tax, and external suppliers (hotels, agencies, transport, etc.).
Skills & Abilities
- Experience in Business Travel and/or Meetings & EventsStrong analytical, organizational, and negotiation skills;
- Proactive improvement mindset;
- High customer orientation and strong collaboration skills;
- Intercultural awareness and ability to work in a fast‑paced international environment;
- Strong interpersonal communication;
- Advanced MS Office skills.
Education & Experience
- 4–6 years’ experience in accounting, business administration, or related fields;
- 1 year of experience managing small to medium-sized team;
- Experience in multinational/shared service environments;
- Proven autonomy in handling complex requests
- Fluent in English.
