Operations & Continuous Improvement Specialist (Distribution Center)

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization

Support the continuous improvement and Labor Management strategy within the Distribution Center - Pudahuel by combining operational analysis and fieldwork to identify bottlenecks, improve productivity, and enhance operational performance.
The role plays a key part in evolving Labor Management from reporting to action-driven improvement, contributing to capacity optimization, process efficiency, and execution on the shop floor.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Identify operational bottlenecks and improvement opportunities through shop floor analysis (Gemba).
  • Support and execute continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, capacity, and process flow.
  • Analyze operational performance, including capacity and productivity across different DC operations.
  • Contribute to the development of improvement proposals based on data and operational observations.
  • Maintain and enhance existing dashboards and reporting tools.
  • Ensure accuracy and consistency of Labor Management data and KPIs.
  • Monitor and track performance indicators (e.g., UPH, CPU) and support action follow-up.
  • Develop process maps and operational flows (Bizagi, Visio or similar).
  • Collaborate closely with Supervisors and operational teams to drive implementation on the floor.
  • Support standardization and continuous improvement practices within DC operations.

 

 

Requisite Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Minimum Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • 0–4 years of experience in logistics, distribution center, or operational roles.
  • Previous exposure to shop floor operations (e.g., supervisor support or similar) is a strong plus.
  • Experience in productivity, capacity analysis, or continuous improvement is desirable.
  • Advanced Excel skills: data analysis, reporting, dashboards.
  • Knowledge of process mapping tools: Bizagi, Visio or similar.
  • Basic understanding of Lean and continuous improvement concepts.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
  • Ability to translate data into operational insights and improvement actions.
  • Strong collaboration skills with operational teams.
  • Hands-on, proactive, and comfortable working in the field in a Distribution Center environment.
  • Basic Power BI or data visualization tools is a plus.
  • Fluent Spanish; intermediate English preferred.
  • This role is based in the Distribution Center located in Lo Boza - Pudahuel  and operates in an onsite schedule, typically from 07:30 to 16:30hrs.
