Sr. Manager Non Trade Procurement
Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization
Our Latin America Non-Trade Procurement (NTP) acts as a strategic business partner, ensuring that business relationships and engagements with suppliers and counterparts are handled according to policies, commercial goals, risks and procurement area related best practices for all non-productive services and materials. We are responsible for leading and driving the implementation of value-driven procurement strategies, projects and processes, maximizing profitability, efficiency, transparency and supplier performance. We also pursue value beyond hard savings, including top-line growth enablement, sustainability, speed-to-market, governance and enhanced stakeholder experience through continuous process simplification. Acts with full ownership for all NTP activities in Chile and Peru, ensuring alignment with regional strategies while adapting to local market needs and regulatory requirements, and actively drives and contributes to regional projects and category initiatives across Latin America.

Stakeholder Management
- Act as the Single Point Of Contact within the countries and categories in scope, including all NTP layers.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to the business, translating commercial needs into sourcing strategies.
- Actively partner with stakeholders to build trust-based relationships enabling achievement of business goals.
- Understand, manage, align & challenge business expectations and needs in line with policy and adidas strategic goals, addressing solutions to win as one team.
- Build and drive a pipeline of projects to achieve negotiation and value creation ambitions.
- Close communication, exposure and visibility within the business, including a cadence of meetings (1:1s, functional & strategic meetings), including Finance, FLMs, GMs and key stakeholders.
- Proactive and problem solver, bringing inputs and balancing relevant strategic and operational topics.
Sourcing Management
- Lead and execute medium-large sized sourcing projects (e.g. RfX, Single Source, risk assessment, supplier base assessment, internal and external analysis) in alignment with the category strategy, area and company goals.
- Engage with respective stakeholders and suppliers in the context of the sourcing event, ensuring proper alignment and meeting expectations in terms of quality, time and costs.
- Act as a PMO within different NTP layers (local, regional, global, GBS) ensuring proper communication, alignment, milestones and project.
- Support and track Business and Legal on contract creation, reflecting negotiated conditions.
- Onboard/inform results to Finance and Business to reflect results in the budget forecast.
Category Management
- Lead, develop and execute global/regional/local strategies for the categories in scope, addressing and accommodating business needs (incl. risk and supplier assessment).
- Benchmark (in-and-out) comprehensive category and market research to identify trends, innovations, and supplier capabilities.
- Conduct spend analysis, risks & opportunities, supplier matrix.
- Facilitate category council/upskilling sessions for sourcing managers and business stakeholders.
- Define category strategy & system maintenance (e.g supplier rostering, buying channels, automation, database).
- Demand management on key contracts strengthening financial control and spend accuracy, reviewing volumes behaviors, rebates, terms & conditions, etc.
- Act as an advisor and escalation point for category-related issues and drive resolution, including centralized communications and topics consolidations.
People Management
- Lead recruitment, onboarding, and development of team members.
- Allocate work effectively, balancing experience, complexity, workload and priorities.
- Set clear targets and performance standards aligned with business and NTP objectives.
- Conduct regular performance assessments and support upskilling needs.
- Foster a high-performance culture embracing company values through guidance & coaching.
Supplier Management
- Act as SPOC for the assigned key suppliers.
- Lead supplier development and innovation activities.
- Drive cross-functional review meetings to monitor performance, contractual terms, risks and opportunities.
- Partner with suppliers to explore capabilities that drive future innovation and value creation.
- Act as advisor for stakeholder/category manager related to key strategic suppliers.
Key Relationships
- Internal: Market NTP y Global NTP, shared service center (GBS), Finance (FDs, peers), Key Business Stakeholders (including FLMs and GMs), Enabling Functions (Controlling, Legal, HR, IT).
- External: Suppliers, Industry Peers.
Requisite Education and Experience & Minimum Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Engineering, Procurement, Legal, or a related field; or equivalent professional certification.
- Experience:
- 5+ years in procurement, including 3–4 years in a procurement management role.
- Background in global or matrix organizations; experience collaborating with shared service centers (GBS) strongly preferred.
- Indirect procurement expertise across categories such as Marketing, Retail, Logistics, Professional Services, Facilities, and IT.
- Technical Skills:
- Advanced knowledge of strategic sourcing and procurement methodologies (e.g., 7-Step Strategic Sourcing, TCO analysis, cost & demand management).
- Strong command of procurement technologies such as Ariba (guided buying/sourcing), catalog management, buying channels, and SAP.
- Proficiency in Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams; Power BI is a plus.
- Leadership & Management:
- Proven success in stakeholder, supplier, category, and people management.
- Demonstrated ability to influence without authority and drive cross-functional alignment.
- Track record of delivering sustainable cost savings and value creation.
- Analytical & Strategic Capabilities:
- Skilled in data analysis, business case development, and presenting insights to senior stakeholders.
- Ability to foster innovation, challenge the status quo, and take calculated risks.
- Personal Attributes:

- Languages: Fluent in English and Spanish (spoken and written).
- Mobility: Willingness to travel internationally within Latin America (approx. 3–4 trips per year).
