SR Specialist Accounting | Diversity Hiring: People with Disabilities

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

Secures financial operations by monitoring and approving financial processing, reporting; ensure that accounting records and documentation comply with the requirements of the Group Finance Manual. This role is part of a diversity hiring initiative for People with Disabilities candidates.  

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meets accounting financial standards by monitoring expenditures; identifying variances; implementing corrective actions
  • Maintains financial security by adhering to internal controls
  • Verifies accuracy of data and data processing of accounting related information
  • Prepares monthly intercompany reconciliation
  • Supports accounting procedures, ensure month and year-end balance correctly reflect the economic-financial reality of the company
  • Assist internal and external auditors
  • Maintains the ERP system and its interfaces with other applications
  • Supports creation of financial reports according to IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) and local GAAP
  • Provides training to workers in both orally and writing form on accounting systems, principles and practices

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • Experienced in job and fully qualified/trained
  • Combined broad theoretical and practical knowledge incl. company policies and practices
