Senior Manager GBS Payroll
Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organisation:
Lead payroll strategy and operations for a growing retail organization in a highly regulated labor market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee end-to-end payroll for 1,000+ employees, ensuring compliance with CLT and local labor laws
- Manage payroll growth during high-volume hiring and terminations
- Ensure accurate processing of salaries, benefits, taxes, and deductions
- Lead negotiations and compliance with 21+ union trades and CBAs
- Develop and implement payroll policies, controls, and audit processes
- Partner with HR, Finance, and Legal to align payroll with business strategy
- Drive automation and process improvements for scalability.

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
- 10+ years in payroll management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
- Proven track record in Retail or massive workforce industries with high-volume payroll operations
- Experience managing multiple unions and CBAs
- Strong knowledge of Brazilian labor regulations (CLT), tax laws, and social security.Expertise in payroll systems (e.g., ADP, SAP, TOTVS, or similar)
- Experience with audits and compliance reporting
