Sr. Manager Accounting
Purpose: Give full support to business and new projects which need accounting and financial advice. Search best practices, alternatives and feasibility of new projects and existing. Ensure that accounting records and other audited documentation comply with the requirements of the Group Finance Manual, the respective local Commercial and Tax Laws and IFRS-Standards and that the financial statements present a true and fair view of the assets and liabilities, financial position and results of the operations of the local entity.
Key Accountabilities:
- Manage all projects the company with the accounting focuses.
- Provide all necessary resources such as reports, historical information, best practices, to support the decision making of managers.
- Manage day to day operation of all accounting functionsPlan and manage accounting procedures, ensure month and year-end balance correctly reflect the economic-financial reality of the company.
- Ensure timely preparation of all accounting reports according to the established accounting principles and procedures.
- Assistance internal and external auditorsSupervise creation and financial reports according to IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) and local GAAP.
- Ensure all departments are informed about accounting procedures and receive necessary support.
- Supervising settlement of all asset/liability/result accounts to identify possible distortions.
- Continuously improve accounting processes.
- Devise sufficient internal control procedures to ensure the integrity of the financial information.
- Oversee and maintain the ERP system and its interfaces with other applications
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Previous experience on IFRS and local GAAP.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience, with at least 3 years at managerial level in the finance department of a multinational company.
- Experience in managing & developing peopleSupervise staff and support their professional development and career enhancement.
- University degree in Accounting preferably with membership from recognized professional accountancy bodies
- Advanced MS Office/Excel/PPT and ERP’s (Advanced)
- Language skills: English (Advanced), local language (Fluent)
