Senior Business Analyst - Digital Finance (m/f/d)

Key Responsibilities:


Business Partnering:

  • Partner with Digital / Digital Brand Commerce and Digital IT teams within the assigned area of responsibility
  • Enable fact based decision by creating transparency around Digital / Digital Brand Commerce costs and support supervisor in advising on the entire respective budget aerea.
  • Financial support of the creation and achievement of a single digital strategy for the full digital ecosystem.
  • Contribute to the supervision of the Budgeting, Forecasting and Management of cost centers and Marketing Working Budget of Digital / Digital Brand Commerce. In particular, manage budget, prioritization & investment associated with digital platforms and tools.
  • Lead medium/small size projects related to Digital / Digital Brand Commerce. Implement change and ensure sustainability of achievements
  • Keep communication with other departments and eCom markets around budgeting and forecasting process, especially for what concerns recharges and target shifts.
  • Ensure financial guidelines are respected and identify critical processes & advice solutions.
  • Educate business partners and make them responsible for compliance to financial and accounting processes

Reporting, Analysis & Expertise:

  • Experience or exposure in analyzing from financial and digital point-of-view digital-based businesses like e-commerce, monetization of subscription, online advertising
  • Understanding of inter-relation between digital and financial metrics & KPIs
  • Ensure that standardized reporting and ad hoc analysis around Digital costs structure (actuals and forecast) is available in cooperation with Sales Finance Team, GBS and other Finance Departments
  • Manage cost centers and support cost center managers in all financial tasks (e.g. investment requests, cost recharges, etc.)
  • Develop, execute and further improve post mortem analysis of key projects
  • Develop and implement adequate communication packages to present derived results, recommendations and solutions


Innovation & Strategy:

  • Look continuously for synergy with other finance departments, eCom markets and other stakeholders, in order to optimize controlling, FP&A and overall finance processes for Digital / Digital Brand Commerce organization and overall eCom channel.
  • Go after efficiency and simplification in analysis, reporting and communication.
  • Develop new processes, standards or operational plans and deliver results with direct impact on the department and overall targets
  • Manage small/medium sized projects and/or actively participate; drive the implementation of findings and sustainability of achievements.
  • Contribute to the achievement of the overall Corporate Performance Management organization
  • Contribute to the continuous re-assessment and optimization of business areas within the digital perimeter of the company, supporting validation and implementation of related business cases with proper analysis and modelling of digital and financial KPIs


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Understanding and knowledge of digital metrics and KPIs related to e-commerce, online advertising and other digital-based business models
  • Pro-active (engaging & impact-oriented) mindset, ability to think end-to-end
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with different international cultures
  • Comprehensive business understanding of Finance & IT but also companywide processes and structures
  • Strong controlling expertise
  • Deep business understanding eCom in general, of processes and structure.
  • High degree of customer orientation. The ability to see the customer’s point of view. Support but also challenge!
  • Ability to manoeuvre in consistently changing and fast-pacing environment
  • Ability to operate cross-functionally and understanding of external business drivers.
  • Good communication skills for persuasion and convincing others both internally and externally
  • Ability to think and act strategically and develop operational plans
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint; analytical skills, managing large data quantities from multiple sources
  • Advanced user skills in SAP-PEU
  • Basic SRM and Ariba experience is welcome
  • Business fluency in English (written and spoken)


Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

  • University degree in Finance or Accounting
  • Previous experience in controlling and/or FP&A positions
  • Previous experience in e-retail or sportswear industry as plus point
  • Familiarity with SAP and BI
  • 3-5 years related experience
