Senior Director Facility Management (m/f/d) - temp until 31.12.2020




Successful and efficient management in the field of maintenance and facilities & services for office locations, showrooms and distribution centers in EMEA

Implementation of workplace strategy and coordination of all workplace activities
Key Accountabilities:

  • Leading and organization of the department Facilities + Services Management
  • Guidance and strategic alignment of the assigned areas (maintenance buildings, outdoor facilities, catering, fleet services, security, reception, moves, workplace services, internal/external mail, facility management)
  • Responsible for the budget
  • Customer Relationship Management (CRM) of internal customers on board/extended board level
  • Long and medium term planning of building and service infrastructure for an efficient and optimal corporate strategy
  • Responsible for the initiating, analysis and decision making on the basis of operating numbers and other objective reporting tools
  • Continuing improvement of best practice processes and benchmarking
  • Lead and development of a diverse team across differnet locations (direct report and dotted line reports)
  • Responsible for the contractually agreed deliverables and the optimization of processes
  • Ensure adequate level of quality of FM services through translations or framework into adequate SLAs for designated premises. Ensure adherence to defined processes and standards (e.g. Health & Safety, Green, ISO)
  • Alignment of global standards to local specifications, ensure compliance with local laws and regulations
  • Manage local key accounts, identify and qualify local demand as well as the consolidation of local volumes
  • Gather, control and report information on FM implementation, KPIs and budget and provide as input for processes, standards and data
  • Manage relationships with local landlords, manage and steer services providers

Knowledge, Capabilities and Experience:

  • Expert in the field of relevant guidelines and regulations
  • Expert in the field of infrastructure and technic facility management or services
  • Excellent economic knowledge
  • Experience in leading employees and team building
  • High degree of service orientation
  • Strong communication with excellent negotiation and people skills
  • Ability to execute strategy by developing detailed tactical plans
  • Proven track record in vendor management




  1. University degree in facility management, hotel management or knowledge and skills gained through similar activities in this field
  2. Approved knowledge in practical and preemptive maintenance of buildings, technique, infrastructure and storage technology
  3. 10 years’ work experience in facility management, hotel industry or similar
  4. At least 6 years’ experience in leading big teams in the areas of maintenance, security, catering, service and fleet management
