Manager, Buying & Trading, eCom(6 Months)

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organisation:

 

This role is responsible for eCommerce online business sales by leading product planning & trading and meeting sales growth targets in official .Com and eMarketplaces as well as ensuring business opportunities by developing optimal approach

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Responsible for managing product master data and analysis historical order/Sell through/Inventory Days Lasting to support buying strategy for adidas brand and platforms (. Com/eMarketplaces) and to deliver financial target
  • Support eCom buyers and provide strategic actions & recommendations based on analysis and trending for current & future buys regarding volume & distribution to maximize sales and profitability
  • Drive Trading 2.0 by enhancing data-driven and logic-based trading capabilities to maximize sell-through, optimize inventory, and drive sales growth
  • Drive eCommerce ambition planning especially maximizing commercial moment performance through operation excellence, strategic assortment planning, optimized pricing & discount strategy and effective inventory management
  • Support the enhancement of all product planning systems and tools to suit world class buying practice across global markets
  • Monitor, analyse, and report the sell-thru / inventory (including old season) to eCom Buying leadership and team by daily, weekly and monthly report
  • Control tower for management of central buy, stock replenishment, take back and stock trading where needs from each channel based on sell through status 
  • Flag and propose “plan B” especially product life cycle(optimized mark down) input and alignment  if the sell-thru is underperforming or outperforming to manage eCom inventory rate
  • Support eCommerce data analytic through business intelligence system(power BI/AI/Automation)
  • People managing through structured coaching, regular feedback, and clear ownership across the team

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

 

  • Strong analytical skills especially fit into product
  • Attention to detail as error in analysis will have crucial impact to business
  • Structured, organised and process orientated
  • Fluent in English and Koreans
  • Advanced knowledge of Korea eCommerce landscape
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment and under pressure
  • Ability to catch the trend in field and apply on right time
  • People Managing Skill

 

 

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

 

  • At least 6-10 years of work experience in buying & merchandising area in Retail, eCommerce, Sporting goods, Fashion and FMCG industry
  • Oustanding communication skills, drive and passion for sales - awareness of online business trends.
  • University degree or above
  • Advanced IT skills in outlook, work, excel, PowerPoint
  • Excellent written and spoken English
