Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:
The mission of Assistant Manager Data Governance is safeguarding data availability, reliability, and quality to better facilitate operational decisions and business management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up systematic data checks on data coverage, data accuracy and data variance across holistic dimensions on daily basis.
- Establish logical and effective methodologies to detect missing data, screen out anomalies, and identify data fluctuations.
- Create comprehensive data governance dashboards to monitor data completeness, validate data reliability, verify data consistency and share transparency to cross functional teams.
- Raise alerts to Sales teams and collaborate with them to push towards improving data quality continuously.
- Investigate root causes and drive Franchise customers to ensure data supplementation, request data amendments, mitigate data discrepancies.
- Conduct L1 & L2 data finalization, deliver related databases and reports, and further streamline and optimize the data finalization process.
- Manage data connections for Franchise customers and assure real-time data connectivity for strategic stores.
- Upgrade data governance playbook to align with evolving business needs and maintain data governance SharePoint.
- Develop automated tools for data governance, data processing, data operation and reporting.
- Cooperate with Tech teams to build structured solutions in data governance and take ownership of end-to-end data governance implementation.
- Engage in DNA projects and contribute to project deliverables in organized and practical manner.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Proven capabilities in data governance and data management.
- Proficient in database applications of SQL, Databricks, etc.
- Competent in data visualization tools of PowerBI, Tableau, etc.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.
- Experience in data automation with Python, VBA, etc.
- High level knowledge in Tech business solutions, tools, processes.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Distinct business logic and acumen.
- Good understanding of retail or consumer business processes is a plus.
Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
- Advanced university degree in business, statistics, finance, computer science, or engineering.
- At least 3+ years of experience in data governance, data management, and application operations in multinational companies.
- Excellent project management skills.
- Strong team player.
