Assistant Manager Inbound Operations
Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:
The mission of the Assistant Manager Inbound Operations is to ensure the smooth operations within SCM Department in all aspects of related functions, and to enhance the processes to achieve the business service requirement.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations Management
- Coordinate daily inbound deliveries with internal teams and external vendors, ensuring timely and accurate shipment tracking and system updates
- Provide inbound forecasts and business updates to logistics service providers and internal relevant team, while addressing delivery issues such as delays or damages with corrective actions
- Manage inbound performance metrics including lead times, accuracy, and cost, and collaborate with procurement, finance, and logistics partners on rate quotations and billing
- Support continuous improvement by reviewing factory networks and delivery terms, generating operational guidelines, and implementing solutions for special business requirements
Financial
- Ensure timely and accurate verification of inbound billing, duty payments, and cost analysis reporting to support financial and operational needs.
- Oversee the claim resolution process to ensure issues are addressed promptly and successfully
System and Processes
- Apply knowledge of company and departmental policies to resolve operational issues and ensure accurate tracking and timely recording of freight information
- Produce reports and business updates efficiently while operating across key systems such as Power BI, AFS, HUB Light, TCM, Ariba, and Infor Nexus
- Support inbound-related projects through follow-up coordination and user acceptance testing for system enhancements
Key Relationships:
Internal
- SCM cross functional team: China Distribution Center, OmniChannel Fulfillment & Deployment,
- Internal cross functional team: Sourcing, Finance, Tech, Global Product Supply, Global Logistics, Global Customs, Legal, Brands etc.
External
Logistics service providers, factories, system vendor etc.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge / Experience
- Strong understanding of Inbound Logistics
- Experience in Logistics process optimization and project management is a plus
- Hands on experience of SAP MM flow knowledge in Supply Chain function
PC/Language/Other Skills
- Strong analytical and presentation skills with proficiency in Excel/PowerPoint/BI tools
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a supply chain management, logistics or related background
- 4+ years’ experience in inbound logistics from FMCG or retail industries
