Assistant Product Manager, Kids FTW
Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:
- Bring consumer and kids’ insights into your concepts
- Execute the category direction
- Work with all creation functions to deliver product concepts
- Create ranges within the category from both a brand and commercial point of view
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively manage range direction
- Propose a clear direction for the range and how to move it on
- Show full understanding of the product creation process whilst managing all tasks within the given time frames, with special attention to speed to market
- Work within cross-functional team and with interlinked departments to enable an efficient product creation process with an optimum product outcome
- Actively analyse business, draw conclusions and propose action steps
- Strong knowledge of product information systems and the interlinking functions – clarity on respective timelines
- Good level of product expertise to create industry leading products
- Prepare and present your projects with respective audience in mind by using relevant structure and content
- Work on projects and follow up on project development with the support from line manager
Key Relationships:
- Maintain a strong relationship and ensure constant dialogue/feedback with
- Kids BU
- Cross-functional team (Design, PD, Materials, Costing, Planning)
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Deliver information clearly and effectively with solid negotiation skills
- Cooperate well and effectively to maintain trustful relationships
- Work independently as well as part of a team
- Plan and prioritize daily working time effectively with the ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Knowledge of footwear creation or merchandising
- Strong analytical skills, be solution driven and result oriented
- Ability to travel
- Passion for sport and passion for kids' FTW
Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
- College degree, preferably in marketing/business /textile/fashion
- Minimum of 3 years Product Marketing experience with FTW background
- Experience in merchandising or kids' products is helpful
- Basic English reading/writing skill
- PC skills (MS Office programs, especially PowerPoint and Excel)
