Asst. Manager Inline Buying ORI & ONE BB

PURPOSE & OVERALL RELEVANCE FOR THE ORGANISATION:

 

This role is responsible for executing the inline category in terms of managing merchandising planning, buying in determining store clusters, article selection, article depth, and timely providing sales analysis, trading/fashion trend recommendation to support the business.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Pre-Season Buying:

· To do historical data analysis to support team to develop buying structure and provide proposals for pre-season buying structures for each channel at cluster and store level.

· Based on existing analysis model to provide detailed analysis on the article level to identify key drivers for top selling articles, as well as slow moving articles.

· Develop each channel, and store cluster proposal and distribution plan.

· Monitor buying quantity vs. budget; reconcile buy plan to merchandise plan.

 

Assortment Planning

·  Support to create assortment plans by channel/store clusters based category strategy, calendar and capacity.

·  Support to create detailed product & store segmentation/cluster by Product segment & store segmentation.

·  Involving in develop assortment seasonal strategy, according to segmentation, local needs and sell-out data.

·  Help to create and recompile a clear merchandising strategy at a store cluster level.

 

Post-Season Review:

· Provide analysis and documentation for post-season review.

· Provide seasonal deep dive analysis for customers.

· Partner with X-function team to develop action steps for next season.

 

Systems and Processes

Manage with Retail Business Planning and I.T. on all retail database accuracy and on-time KPIs report delivery.

 

Training

· Participate in systems training.

· Participate in Products seasonal presentation and technology training as well as merchandising training.

 

 

Others

· Other job-related work assigned from Line Manager.

REQUISITE EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND OTHER SKILL

 

  • University advanced degree
  • 3-5 years’ experience in merchandising planning / buying function.
  • Good understanding of retail business.
  • Prefer good Excel modelling skills and ability to develop useful models/tools that can be rolled out to merchandising and retail teams.
  • Prefer good presentation and PPT skills.
