Intern, Corporate Communication

Purpose of the Role

The Corporate Communication Intern will support the Content Planning and Internal Communication team in shaping clear, engaging, and consistent stories for internal audiences. 


Key Responsibilities

Public Relations & External Storytelling Support

  • Support the Corporate Communication team in researching and preparing background materials for external communication and PR storytelling (e.g. company initiatives, sustainability topics, leadership messages).
  • Assist in monitoring media coverage and summarizing key themes, headlines, or learnings for internal sharing.
  • Help with content preparation for PR moments, such as media briefings, press materials, or campaign storytelling drafts (under guidance).
  • Support coordination with PR or content agencies on simple tasks such as material consolidation, timelines, and feedback tracking.
  • Learn how corporate narratives are adapted for different audiences (internal employees vs. external stakeholders).

Content Planning & Editorial Support

  • Support the team in planning and organizing content calendars for internal communication channels (e.g. articles, posts, campaigns).
  • Assist in collecting story ideas, background information, and inputs from different functions and stakeholders.
  • Help prepare drafts, outlines, or first versions of internal communication content (articles, captions, summaries, event recaps).

Content Coordination & Execution

  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to track content status, approvals, and timelines.
  • Support content publishing preparation across internal platforms (e.g. formatting, visuals, basic proofreading).
  • Assist in post‑campaign or post‑event content.

Learning & Insight Building

  • Observe and support how corporate narratives are developed, refined, and aligned with global and local priorities.
  • Participate in team meetings, editorial discussions, and selected communication projects to understand end‑to‑end communication processes.
  • Support simple content performance tracking (e.g. engagement, feedback collection) and summarize insights.

Team & Project Support

  • Provide ad‑hoc support to the Corporate Communication team on internal projects, events, or campaigns when needed.
  • Assist in documentation, presentations, and internal knowledge consolidation.

Knowledge, Skills & Attributes

  • Strong interest in communication, content, storytelling, or employer branding.
  • Good written communication skills in Chinese; English reading and writing ability is a must.
  • Structured, detail‑oriented, and comfortable working with multiple tasks.
  • Curious, eager to learn, and open to feedback.
  • Basic familiarity with digital platforms, social or content tools is a plus (not mandatory).

 

Education / Background

  • Undergraduate or postgraduate student in Communication, Public Relations, or related fields.
  • Previous internship or campus experience related to content, media, or communication is a plus.
