Manager Content Creative
General Purpose
As the Manager Content Creative, you will be responsible for developing compelling creative concepts and storytelling frameworks that align with adidas’ brand voice and business objectives in China. You will focus on “how to tell the story,” translating content strategies into actionable creative directions for execution by the Content Production team. This role emphasizes creative concept development over end-to-end production execution, ensuring that storytelling is consistent, engaging, and tailored to the local market.
Key Responsibilities
Storytelling & Creative Direction
- Develop narrative and storytelling approaches for brand and product content, ensuring consistency with global brand voice and local relevance.
- Lead creative concept development for digital campaigns, product launches, and eCommerce content.
- Collaborate with the Content Planning team to define creative direction that supports business objectives and storytelling arcs.
- Translate content plans into clear, actionable creative briefs for visual and copy execution by Content Production team.
Creative Collaboration & Alignment
- Work closely with Content Creative and Content Planning teams to ensure creative concepts are strategically aligned and executable.
- Present creative concepts and rationales to stakeholders, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and market needs.
- Provide creative feedback and direction to Content Production teams during execution phases to ensure consistency and quality.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Build strong relationships with cross-functional teams, including Content Planning, Digital Marketing, and Digital Commerce.
- Collaborate with external agencies and freelancers as needed for concept development and creative alignment.

Requirements
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in marketing, Communications, Creative Arts, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in creative concept development, storytelling, or creative direction, preferably within eCommerce, fashion, sportswear, or related industries.
- Experience working in a content-led marketing environment, with a strong portfolio of creative campaigns.
- Familiarity with digital platforms and content trends in China (Tmall, Douyin, WeChat, etc.).
Soft Skills
- Strong creative thinking and storytelling ability.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and influence creative outcomes.
- Solution-oriented with the ability to work under tight deadlines.
Hard Skills
- Proficiency in creative briefing and concept development tools.
- Understanding of visual and copy best practices for digital content.
- Fluent in Mandarin and English (written and verbal).
