Manager Franchise Trading Analysis
PURPOSE & OVERALL RELEVANCE FOR THE ORGANIZATION
The Manager, Trading Analytics plays a critical role in supporting the In-Season Trading team by transforming sales, inventory, and trading data into actionable insights. This role focuses on identifying trading opportunities and risks in-season, enabling faster and more informed business decisions to improve sell-through, inventory productivity, and overall commercial performance. The position also drives reporting digitalization and enhances data transparency to support efficient trading governance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Trading Performance Monitoring
- Monitor weekly and monthly trading performance across MW stores.
- Track key retail KPIs including sell-through, weeks of cover, inventory productivity, and markdown impact.
- Identify emerging business risks and opportunities during the season.
- Support trading review discussions with data-driven insights.
2. Sales & Inventory Insight Generation
- Analyze sales, stock, and shipment data to support trading decisions.
- Identify slow-moving products and potential acceleration opportunities.
- Provide structured insights on key product performance and promotion impact.
- Support chase analysis to ensure optimal stock and shipment ratio.
3. Business Intelligence & Decision Support
- Prepare analytical inputs for weekly and monthly trading review meetings.
- Conduct deep-dive analysis on category, product, or regional performance.
- Provide actionable recommendations to support trading adjustments.
- Translate complex data into clear business insights for stakeholders.
4. Reporting Digitalization & Data Governance
- Develop and enhance trading dashboards and analytical tools.
- Drive automation of recurring trading reports and performance tracking.
- Partner with IT / BI teams to improve reporting systems and data visibility.
- Improve efficiency by reducing manual reporting processes.
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Business Planning for sell-through tracking and forecast alignment.
- Collaborate with Allocation team on trading adjustments and inventory balancing.
- Partner with Retail Operations on store performance insights.
- Support cross-functional collaboration through clear and structured business insights.

REQUISITE EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Business, Finance, Statistics, Data Analytics, or related fields.
- 5+ years of experience in retail analytics, merchandise planning, or commercial analysis.
- Experience working with large retail datasets and performance tracking.
- Strong commercial understanding of retail operations.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
- Advanced Excel modeling and analytical capability.
- Experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
- Strong PowerPoint and executive presentation capability.
