Manager Sports Marketing, Individual Sports
Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:
Scout, Secure and Manage the best multi-sports asset portfolio to support the overall Brand Mission: Be the Best Sports Brand in the World
He/she will achieve this mission by:
- Creating Training, Running and Outdoor Sports Marketing Vision for GCA and provide input on Social Media Brand Communication
- Executing and managing annual sports marketing plan with global objectives which is locally relevant, and supports the GCA business plans
- Consistently and creatively communicating brand messages, values, and image
- Developing and optimizing partnerships within GCA
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the development of sports marketing strategies and plans for training, running & outdoor categories aligned with GCA business strategies and in line with global guidelines.
- Working closely with the team to design comprehensive Sports Marketing Vision for GCA Plan + Annual Sports Marketing plans with detailed MWB spend allocations (e.g. product costs, race and event sponsorship, etc.)
- Responsible for the effective application / implementation of contractual rights granted on the local level
- Develop activation plan for Running/Outdoor Race and Training Events; working closely and aligning with seasonal campaigns with strong focus on consumer activation and adidas focus topics (i.e. CRM, digital / social media etc).
- Develop a mid / long term strategic plan with running community in the local market in close cooperation with Senior Managers
- Working with Product & Marketing teams, support all major product initiatives via External Partners, Social Media, Events, etc.
- Develop and drive unique marketing activities that support the business goals
- Manages product and service plans and leads team to provide world class/best in class service to assets
- Manage Sports Marketing Working Budget for assigned category
- Negotiate and executes contracts, strategic alliances, events, product procurement, delivery, service to and the assets.
- Work closely with Finance, Legal, and Operations on processes to service our assets effectively and accurately
- Develop the procedures and systems to control and track the distribution of promotional products
KPI:
- Effective use of assigned budget
- Manage execution and close year at budget
- Brand value index for Event and Race is increasing
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- 10 years of experience in marketing required.
- Bachelor degree required and advanced degree in business or related fields preferred
- A passion for and an understanding of Sports, esp. Running & Training category
- Experience on working with Sports Associations and Race Organizers
- Strong communication, influence skill and leadership
- Strong project management skill
- Good Interpersonal skills
- Good analysis and computer skill
- Microsoft Office: Advanced
- English: Advanced
- Local Language: Fluent
