Product Owner, Digital Innovation

PURPOSE & OVERALL RELEVANCE FOR THE ORGANISATION:

As Product Owner, Digital Innovation at China Digital Hub, you will play a critical role in leading the digital innovation and evolution especially in AI area.

 

You are responsible for exploration, development, evaluation, and implementation of AI use cases, and translation of business opportunities and challenges into tangible AI applications to accelerate the operation efficiency and support the new business growth engine with cutting-edge technologies and break-through transformation thru AI capabilities.

 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
 

Strategy & Value Delivery 

  • Be accountable for AI projects landing and experiments using agile and design thinking methods, from conception to realization.
  • Responsible for bridging between business, Tech and external AI partners to foster mutual understanding and alignment of AI capabilities and business requirements. 
  • Responsible for measuring, interpreting, and communicating the impacts of generative AI solutions in the context of relevant financial and operational metrics, to ensure transparency and insights into the value and performance of AI initiatives.
  • Be able to lead the delivery with agile or hybrid model with internal and external combined delivery team. 

 

Stakeholder Management

  • Fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders and partners in AI industry
  • Ensure proper requirements are captured and translated into the product backlog
  • Work as one team with tech delivery task forces to guarantee high-quality deliverables with proper velocity.  
  • Work closely with CDH peers for the same business growth objective


 Backlog Management 

  • Prioritize the items in your innovation backlog. Specify the definition-of-done in cooperation with the product team. 
  • Own the refinement of your product backlog to ensure that the platform team is delivering the right enhancements as well as new capabilities to drive consumer and business value. 
  • Provide acceptance for delivered backlog items by the team, in line with the definition-of-done. 


 
Monitoring 

  • Be accountable for monitoring, optimization and enhancement of the configuration, features and functionalities related to the business domain solutions. 
  • Be able to define reasonal measurments for the platform performance from business perspective and lead platform evolving according to data insights. 
  • Be accountable for value taking-in-place and on-going tracking and monitoring.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:


Education & Experience 

 

  • Bachelor’s degree and above in Computer Science, Data Science or related fields.
  • 4+ years of professional experience in leading AI projects and are adept at applying agile and design thinking methods
  • Experience in AI product adoption in real business scenarios
  • Experience with a deep understanding of AI-driven business models are preferred.
  • Experience in creating strong internal business cases to support investment and internal resource requests 
     

Hard-Skills 
 

  • Advanced retail or e-Commerce domain knowledge e.g., ecom operation, content, post-order service
  • Strong understanding and hands-on experience of AI solutions (agent build, platform tools and etc.)
  • Good understanding of project management skills
  • Good data analysis skill in pre/post case study: python or coding skills is a big plus
  • Good understanding of project management skills
  • Fluent in English both verbally and written 

 

Soft-Skills 

  • Good communication skills and comfortable presenting to stakeholders
  • Solutions-oriented approach and results oriented 
  • Self-Starter with a strong sense of urgency and a positive “can do” attitude
