Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization

The Senior Designer, Teamwear is responsible for driving the design and development of innovative, performance-driven teamwear apparel. This role translates consumer insights, sport-specific needs, and brand direction into commercially successful product ranges.

 

As a key contributor within the design team, the Senior Designer leads creative execution across seasonal collections, ensuring consistency in design language, quality, and performance standards. The role collaborates closely with cross-functional partners to deliver products that meet both athlete requirements and business objectives.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop seasonal teamwear collections, including apparel, graphics, and color applications aligned with brand direction.
  • Translate consumer insights, athlete needs, and market trends into relevant and performance-focused design solutions.
  • Execute strong product concepts from ideation through to final approval, ensuring design intent is maintained throughout development.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Marketing, Product Development, and Business Unit teams to align on product briefs, costing, and commercial targets.
  • Contribute to the creation of seasonal design narratives, ensuring consistency across product categories and ranges.
  • Maintain high standards of design quality, fit, and functionality across all teamwear products.
  • Research and apply trends in materials, trims, construction techniques, and graphics relevant to team sports.
  • Support the development and evolution of teamwear design language within the brand framework.
  • Prepare and deliver clear design presentations to internal stakeholders, effectively communicating concepts and rationale.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery against critical milestones.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior designers, supporting skill development and team collaboration.
  • Ensure all designs comply with brand guidelines, product standards, and legal requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Sportswear Design, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5–8 years of experience in apparel design, preferably in sportswear or teamwear categories.
  • 2-3 years of management/leadership experience
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating performance apparel and/or teamwear design expertise.
  • Solid understanding of construction, materials, and performance features relevant to team sports.
  • Knowledge of teamwear market, including club, federation, and grassroots needs.
  • Ability to translate insights into commercially viable product concepts.
  • Strong skills in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop).
  • Good understanding of product creation processes, from concept to production.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills in a cross-functional environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced setting.
  • Experience mentoring or guiding junior team members is a plus.
  • Fluency in English; Mandarin is a strong advantage.
