Senior Manager, Planning (Speed)

PURPOSE

  • Key player in Sourcing in driving Sourcing’s vision to be the Most Agile, Most Competitive, Most Digitalized & Cleanest Supply Base in the industry.
  • Ensure excellent execution of planning & production processes within an assigned country/region, while continuously challenge and evolve the existing processes. Confidently achieve the optimal level of product availability by proactively applying the most creative and collaborative approach to problem solving. Build, develop, and lead a high performing Production Planning team within the assigned operation areas.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead Production Planning to ensure plans are executed within the assigned country/region in achieving the optimal level of product availability by taking into consideration all possible manufacturing constraints (at all stages of Supply Chain).
  • Collaborate with Tier1 planning teams in the assigned country to monitor the day-to-day operations, such as: capacity accuracy & reliability, Tier1 material delivery status, Tier1 Pull Forward status, WIP accuracy, and FGR accuracy.
  • Ensure the order management process across all Tier1s within the assigned country/region are confirmed, planned, and tracked accurately.
  • Verify bottlenecks on critical materials and ensure the most creative and collaborative solutions to improve the overall Tier1 and Tier2 delivery performance ensuring the Pull Forward plans are successfully executed according to the level loading strategy.
  • Ensure Production Planners are updating all related systems timely and accurately.
  • Roll out global initiatives and manage various Product Operations strategic programs within the assigned country/region in alignment with the Operational Planning team.
  • Ensure PO reallocations or sub-contractor orders alongside Technical Services, giving Tier1/Liaison Office, and receiving Tier1/Liaison Office.
  • Drive new Tier1 start-up in the assigned country/region; ensure the production lines are set up according to roadmap. Work with Tier1s to ensure corrective actions are being executed according to the SEA and Technical audit results. Ensure smooth pilot production run while closely monitor the efficiency growth.
  • Cross-functional collaboration with Technical Services and/or Development Merchandisers to ensure quality issues are resolved.
  • Provide training support to production team and suppliers on policies and systems such as GPS, ILA and other systems pertaining to planning, ordering/tracking, documentation and invoicing.
  • Develop and lead a high performing Production Planning team and drive a consumer-focused mind-set in the assigned operations areas.
  • Ensure all sourcing operations and practices fully comply with adidas’ Responsible Sourcing & Purchasing Policy, adidas standards and legal requirements, while managing the relevant processes internally and externally.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Proven success in manufacturing environment with good knowledge of the Sporting Goods industry.
  • Strong negotiation and influence, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)
  • Strong MS Office Skills
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to work with multidimensional teams.

 

REQUISITE EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • University degree in the field of supply chain or related areas
  • Minimum 7+ years of relevant business experience
