Senior Manager Strategic Planning
Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:
Support and drive GCA’s Strategy and Head Office operating model. Act as a key execution partner to enable the Managing Director and SLT — bridging strategic content with operational rhythm, while ensuring leadership is equipped for higher-level synthesis, stakeholder alignment, and decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning process
- Contribute to and help manage the GCA strategic planning process (SBP), including document development, global submissions, and communication packages.
- Support long-term financial planning (top-line and P&L) and development of key initiatives.
- Develop financial and quantitative models (e.g., business simulation, revenue projection) to inform leadership decision-making.
Market Research & Competitor Analysis
- Lead the development and maintenance of a central data repository for market and competitor intelligence.
- Drive the creation and regular distribution of market & business reports to senior management.
- Identify key market developments, competitor movements, and consumer trends — ensuring implications are integrated into planning and decision-making.
- Conduct ad-hoc competitive analysis (pricing, product, go-to-market strategies) to support strategic projects.
- Participate in selected research/strategy projects to ensure quality outcomes and business applicability.
Strategic Performance Management
- Synthesize data and prepare analysis to support senior management decision-making on priority topics.
- Assist in company and functional KPI setting, and organize commercial performance reviews across departments.
Head Office Operating Model
- Organize and orchestrate the GCA SLT process and calendar, including meeting governance, cadence, preparation, and action follow-ups.
- Ensure stakeholder awareness of meeting purpose, objectives, and deliverables.
MD Support & Executive Communication
- Manage preparation and consolidation of documentation to ensure MD is well-equipped for GCA SLT and Board/Global meetings.
- Support MD in developing agendas for Global visitors and leadership sessions.
- Help craft executive messaging (presentations, storylines, scripts) under strategic direction from leadership.
- Provide ad-hoc support on special Global-Local projects as delegated.

Stakeholder Management
- Proven ability to engage MD and SLT-level stakeholders
- Ability to coordinate cross-functional networks
- Experience guiding junior team members (where applicable)
Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
- University degree in business/marketing/economics; MBA preferred
- Proven cross-functional and matrix organization experience
- Functional: Minimum 8–10 years relevant experience in Strategy, Brand, Sales, Finance, or Market Intelligence
- Equivalent experience in management consulting or global apparel/consumer goods/retail preferred
- Demonstrated experience in market research and competitor analysis
- Experience working closely with middle and senior leaders
- Fluent written and spoken English and Mandarin
