Sr Mgr Retail Expansion, East & South
Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:
- Develop and manage a high‑quality, brand‑building distribution network capable of delivering sales revenue aligned with company financial projections and strategic distribution plans.
- Strengthen the relationship with key LLD (luxury related industry) enable us to win the competition in the marketplace
- Improve cooperation efficiency with key LLD partners, transitioning from individual project mode to a national, holistic partnership approach.
Key Responsibilities:
Planning
- Provide input and participate in designing adidas Group mid‑term strategies related to regional retail expansion for both FRS and Own Retail in the East & South regions.
- Work with the Retail Expansion Director to develop a comprehensive East & South Retail Expansion Plan that aligns with distribution, marketing, and geographic strategies.
- Proactively identify new POS opportunities (e.g., Y‑3 and others) by building a strong real estate network in the region and negotiating with relevant stakeholders.
- Continuously improve the location quality and space efficiency of existing department store and mall shops by strengthening relationships with channel management teams.
- Regularly update the East & South retail expansion plan based on market changes and business needs.
Management
- Ensure the yearly and quarterly retail expansion plans are executed effectively
- Manage department stores and shopping malls systematically and strategically.
- Reports to upper management on market intelligence
- Communicates regional POS development to Head of Retail Expansion on regular basis,
- Manages the retail expansion team to implement the business plan with high quality for the specific geography
Financial
- Regional POS opening/upgrade target
- Own Retail BPM accuracy
- Own Retail Trade Term Target
Systems and Processes
- Ensure all POS opening, upgrading, and planning activities follow established company processes.
- Updates the POS information on regular base to Retail Planning team who is managing POS database
Strategy Landlord related
- Support the Retail Expansion Director in developing strategic relationships and business plans with key landlords.
- Secure prime locations for adidas iconic stores to support marketplace transformation initiatives.
- Support negotiations to obtain favorable business terms for new, renewal, remodel, and rental‑reduction projects, maximizing store ROI
- Leverage strong LLD relationships to support key company strategies, including Key City and TZA initiatives
Others
- Perform other job‑related duties as assigned by leadership.

- Internal: RE Strategy, Regional RE team, RE Planning, Retail OP team, Sales team, PM team, Design team, Government Relationship team
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent planning, negotiation, influencing and communication skill
- Strong relationship with the key LLD
- Good at teamwork
- High degree of integrity and loyalty
- Real estate experience is a plus
Education and Experience:
Education
- Bachelor's Degree
Professional background / Experience
- Above 8 years’ experience in retail expansion and related environment for multi-national consumer brand or retail company
Language skills
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
