Manager, Business Development SEA

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

 

This role plays a key part in enabling the SEA Head Office to operate effectively, supporting the Director, Business Development and the senior leadership team in driving strategic priorities, governance, and execution excellence. The position also helps shape and strengthen the SEA Head Office operating model, ensuring alignment, effective leadership cadence, and strong follow-through on key business priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

Head Office Operating Model & Business Governance

  • Lead the implementation of the SEA Head Office operating model, establishing clear governance, accountability, and decision-making frameworks.
  • Support the development of strategic and business priorities, ensuring clear ownership, structured follow-up, and delivery tracking.
  • Serve as a central coordination point to align priorities, actions, and stakeholders across the SEA leadership team.
  • Act as a trusted partner to the SEA GM and leadership team in preparing for and executing key business priorities.
  • Support the preparation of leadership meetings, business reviews, and other key executive engagements.
  • Proactively identify risks, gaps, and dependencies, and drive alignment across stakeholders to keep priorities on track.
  • Establish structured processes for agenda planning, documentation, and follow-up to support effective decision-making.
  • Drive calendar and meeting planning solutions that improve prioritization, focus, and time management for the leadership team.

Strategic Execution & Organisational Effectiveness

  • Support cross-functional strategic initiatives aligned with SEA leadership priorities.
  • Partner with key stakeholders across Finance, HR, Brand, Commercial, and Operations to drive alignment and execution.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify processes and enhance organisational effectiveness across SEA.
  • Use internal data, analytics, and market intelligence to generate strategic insights, identify trends and opportunities, and support profitable growth for the adidas brand across SEA.
  • Support the development and evolution of SEA growth opportunities across countries, channels, brands, and support functions in line with Global and Emerging Markets strategy.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong strategic thinking with the ability to combine big-picture perspective and hands-on execution.
  • Strong commercial mindset and sound business acumen.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to work effectively across functions and seniority levels.
  • Proven project management skills
  • Open-minded, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-changing environment.
  • High attention to detail and ability to bring structure to ambiguous environments.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

  • 8–10 years of experience in business development, strategy, consulting, or project/program management.
  • Experience working with or supporting senior leadership teams is a strong advantage.
  • University degree in Business or a related field, preferably with a focus on finance, marketing, or sales.
  • Experience in apparel, footwear, fashion, FMCG, or consulting is preferred.
