DC Operations Clerk
Purpose: Supports the operations leadership team by passing direction from the office to the
warehouse floor. Works closely with operations associates, forklift operators and external drivers
to ensure efficient and timely work flow through the Distribution Center.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for counting the quantity of cases on trucks, verifying the accuracy of loading
sheets, and completing settlement sheets
Checking in/out of external drivers and handling any of their questions/inquiries
Keep records of driver interactions on the daily dock schedule
Respond to emails in a timely manner and answer incoming phone calls to the Shipping
office
Receive incoming shipments and compare items to work orders provided by supervisor
Determine storage areas for incoming shipments by assisting in the selection of
appropriate space within the warehouse
Ascertain that all incoming and outgoing shipments are properly labelled and that
correlating documents are available with each shipment
Process and organize daily Shipping/Receiving paperwork in a timely fashion
Communicate clearly and appropriately with co-workers, contractors, and truck drivers
Ability to develop and share best practices
Help to foster a positive team environment that encourages all associates to provide
insights and feedback to improve processes, adapt to an ever-changing business, and
stay focused on customer satisfaction
Contribute to maintaining a safe and orderly working environment
Identify, report, and follow up on any property damage or safety concerns
Participate in Lean Six Sigma activities
Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Excellent verbal and written communication in English
Ability to work collaboratively within a large group of co-workers
Positive and enthusiastic approach
Strong knowledge of shipping and receiving operations in a warehouse environment
Performance and metrics driven mindset
Proficiency in Excel, Outlook, Word and working knowledge of WMS principles
Regularly required to talk or hear; stand or walk; use fingers, hands and arms to feel,
handle, grip, grasp, lift, push and pull for up to ten (10) hours/day
Ability to work in a warehouse environment
Ability to reliably attend work/scheduled hours
Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED equivalent required
Minimum of two (2) years related distribution experience and/or training
Ability to work overtime and weekends as required
