DC Operations Lead Yard Auditor
Purpose: Supports the operations leadership team by contributing/reporting to the Daily Yard Audits and reporting structure. The Yard Auditor will be responsible for the reporting of the Daily Yard Audits for both DC1 and DC2 Management team, and the Inbound/Outbound Teams in both Spartanburg and Portland
Key Responsibilities:
- Reporting of the Yard Audit for DC1 and DC2
- Completing a physical audit of yard and facility truck doors daily
- Reconciling daily changes in trailer and container status
- Maintaining a file of trailers in the yard by location and status
- Sharing audit details daily with all stakeholders
- Updating/reconciling trailer statuses as necessary
- Collaborate with all Management Teams (All Levels)
- Utilize warehouse tools, including radio frequency handheld units (Scanner/Laptops) and computer kiosks, to update transactions within the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Understand and act as a role model in following all standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Ability to develop and share best practices and work independently
- Contribute to maintaining a safe and orderly working environment
- Identify, report, and follow up on any equipment damage or safety concerns on the yard
- Ensure any issues/damaged equipment with trailers are reported to Management
- Monitor inventory levels for Seals on equipment on the Yard
- Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication in English (Ability to communicate to all levels of Management)
- Advanced Excel spreadsheet application skill
- Ability to work collaboratively within a large group of co-workers
- Positive and enthusiastic approach
- Strong knowledge of DC operations, including storage methods
- Performance and metrics driven mindset
- Excel, Outlook, Word and working knowledge of WMS principles
- Regularly required to talk or hear; stand or walk; use fingers, hands and arms to feel, handle, grip, grasp, lift, push and pull for up to ten (10) hours/day
- Opening and Validating trailer contents
- Specific to role (Operate Smart Car – Validate Driver’s License Required)
- Ability to work in a warehouse environment/outside environment
- Ability to reliably attend work/scheduled hours or extended hours as required
- Occasionally required to sit; bending, twisting, climb or balance; lift and carry items such as boxes weighing up to forty (40) pounds; and stoop, kneel, crouch
Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Minimum of two (2) years related distribution experience and/or training
- Ability to work overtime and weekends as required
