Manager, Distribution Productivity Planning
Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:
- Create, manage and drive the planning, staffing and productivity tools across DC Operations and the entire Productivity Planning department.
- Ensure that productivity is maximized, facility capacity is optimized, and cost is minimized through effective forecasting, strategic planning and execution of the Productivity Planning function.
- Collaborate cross-functionally, specifically with DC management, to implement and evolve supply chain solutions that meet business objectives in terms of profitability, service commitments, and business growth.
- Represent and manage the overall communication in and out of the Distribution Center across all brands and channels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create the production schedule by managing the allocations of brand/channel volumes against DC capacities.
- Project and track monthly processing and invoicing forecasts while monitoring overloads and underloads against DC capacities.
- Assist and support in the creation of staffing models that correlate to the production schedule while maximizing productivity and optimizing capacity utilization.
- Develop short- and long-range forecasts, department budgets, and labor requirements.
- Create management tools to analyze and report on performance and provide critical alerts to the business community.
- Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and specific order groups (ie: launches) and perform periodic review of operational processes to optimize success; develop and implement action plans to improve facility throughput and efficiencies.
- Manage DC capacities and assist in their development.
- Assist in the development and projection of forecasts for DC orders with SCM functions.
- Manage all monthly, quarterly and yearly volume builds.
- Drive Process Improvement initiatives that support Performance Metrics, KPIs, Wave Planning, Routing and Distribution.
- Work closely and collaboratively with other SCM departments, specifically Order Fulfillment, to enhance the efficiency of Distribution Planning and Operations tools and processes.
- Work independently and collaboratively to establish strong partnerships with all SCM and DC operations personnel.
- Associated ad-hoc responsibilities supporting Logistics operations.
- Manage and oversee time and attendance admins to ensure time keeping records are correct and employees are paid properly.

- Distribution: Waving/Routing, DC Operations, Reporting & Analytics
- Supply Chain Management: Order Fulfillment, Omni-Channel Operations, Compliance and Transportation.
- Customer Service / Sales.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- In-depth knowledge of end-to-end planning processes, preferably across Distribution, Manufacturing, Operations or Supply Chain Management.
- Ability to manage multiple functional areas representing multiple Brands and channels.
- Execute a high degree of analytical and logical thinking, as well as management skills related to all aspects of planning operations.
- Advanced querying and data analysis techniques.
- Work collaboratively as Project Lead or Management.
- Excellent communication skills both oral and written.
- Strong organizational and planning ability to meet critical deadlines.
Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
- Four-year college or university degree.
- Minimum of five years related experience and/or training
- Equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
- Fluent in English, both oral and written.

For work requiring a high degree of collaboration or an in-person presentation, in-office attendance is required even on Friday. The working location of this position is Spartanburg, SC.
