Process Controller, Health and Safety

Purpose:

 

This role will provide administrative support to DC Leadership in Operations to ensure the compliance of all relevant Health and Safety legislation and regulation within the Distribution Center.

 

Key Responsibilities (Functional):  

 

  • Support Safety Team to coordinate and conduct weekly site inspections
  • Investigate and follow up on all accidents, incidents, property damages, and near misses and provide recommendations to DC Leadership Team for improvements
  • Conduct regular maintenance of the I-Warehouse platform, including analyzing data, researching, and providing feedback to the DC Leadership Team for improvements
  • Actively participate in the Health and Safety Committee meetings and provide the Minute Notes from the meetings and execute the proper follow up
  • Support risk assessment process, identifying areas of opportunities and providing recommendations and solutions
  • Conduct regular maintenance of the Quentic platform including incidents and training follow up, report generation, user enrollment and deactivation, etc.
  • Develop and assist with the creation, and delivery of safety talks
  • Identify key health and safety metrics and track, measure, analyze and identify trends to DC Senior Management Team
  • Work with the DC Leadership Team and Health and Safety Committee to ensure site is compliant and meet OSHA standards
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong computer proficiency skills, with emphasis on MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of OSHA Standards
  • Able to effectively build and maintain relationships with all stakeholders and departments
  • Basic knowledge in DC Operations

 

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications: 

  • 2-4 years’ experience with Health and Safety in a warehousing environment is an asset
  • Diploma/Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety
  • Required to speak, read, write and comprehend the English language
