Supervisor DC Operations (Weekend Shift, Fri-Sun 7am-730pm)

Are you a motivated leader with a passion for optimizing operations and managing diverse teams? We are seeking an enthusiastic Operations Supervisor to join our Distribution Center management team. In this role, you will drive continuous improvement, engage with stakeholders, and ensure our operations run smoothly and efficiently.
Purpose: As an Operations Supervisor, you will be a key member of our Distribution Center management team. Your mission is to optimize DC operations by collaborating with various stakeholders, improving operational metrics, refining processes, and eliminating waste. You will be a strong people manager, capable of effectively managing associates with varying levels of experience. This role requires someone who can work both autonomously and collaboratively in a demanding and often ambiguous environment, with strong attention to detail and effective prioritization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a specific functional area in the Distribution Center and be accountable for achieving all productivity and quality targets.
- Train, manage, and develop all DC associates.
- Maintain full working knowledge of the WCS and WMS platforms.
- Manage the collection, reporting, and feedback regarding operations functions using SAP, Excel, queries, and WMS reporting.
- Report on operations metrics to evaluate DC area performance in productivity, quality, and safety.
- Create a positive team environment that encourages all associates to provide insights and feedback to improve processes, adapt to an ever-changing business, and stay focused on customer satisfaction.
- Maintain all OSHA safety standards, including reporting of accidents, injuries, damages, and potential threats to safety.
- Ensure all associates maintain a safe and orderly working environment.
- Identify, report, and follow up on any property damage or safety concerns.
- Lead Lean Six Sigma activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Key Relationships:
- Interface with Distribution Director and Transportation Director.
- Collaborate with Facility Operations and Shift Managers.
- Engage with Area Operations and Forklift Associates.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Experience in high-volume distribution operations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to effectively interact with associates and senior DC management.
- Strong planning and organizational skills to meet critical deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications with strong analytical and data manipulation skills.
- Ability to walk and stand on hard surfaces for extended periods.
- Regularly required to talk, hear, sit, stand, walk, use fingers, hands, arms, and feet to handle, grip, lift, operate, push, pull, bend, and twist for up to 10 hours/day.
- Occasionally required to climb, stoop, kneel, and crouch.
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work safely on elevated surfaces (2nd level mezzanine).
Requisite Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Minimum of two (2) years of related distribution experience and/or training.
- Ability to work overtime and weekends as required.
