Manager Talent Partnering - Asia Global Functions

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

 

Deliver, execute the Talent strategy for adidas Asia Global Functions by implementing global core talent programs and services to respective HR Partners. Drive non-core & functional Talent initiatives in cooperation with the global Talent team and the Talent Partner network. Upskill HR Partners on core Talent products and services in order to support their business area. Lead critical talent projects in market Asia Pacific.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Support the HR Director with building and implementing a Talent strategy for Asia Global Functions. 
  • Partner closely with HR Leadership Team to ensure a consistent implementation of core Talent programs across business and markets globally.
  • Point of contact for the respective HR Leadership team and HR Partners in regards to all HR Talent related programs and services.
  • Partner to support aggregation of business needs for Talent to align priorities and allocation resources for program delivery and ensure alignment with Talent Leadership Team.
  • Contribute to channel of information between Talent organization and business/ markets – manage core program implementation for business/market and collect market needs for communication back to Talent organization for input to core programs.
  • Upskill HR teams and business teams (if needed) on core talent programs and initiatives. Partner with HR teams closely to support the execution excellence of all talent programs in all locations.
  • In cooperation with the HR Partners co-facilitate workshops and meetings (e.g. succession & talent conferences, team development workshops etc.) where it aligns with the Talent Partner role.
  • Lead key talent projects locally to support APAC talent needs, active participate and contribute in global talent projects representing APAC.
  • Support enhanced collaboration and sharing of business/ market generated initiatives; support market partners' participation in broader design community for global initiatives.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

 

  • Talent Capabilities: Generalist with cross-functional experience in all Talent areas (Talent Management, Leadership & Learning, Organizational Development); strong knowledge of the Talent core processes. Good understanding of integrated Talent experiences.
  • Business capabilities: commercial awareness, customer focus, understanding of HR and business strategy and processes.
  • Consulting capabilities: facilitation skills and internal consulting skills; diagnostic skills with the ability to analyze the situation and provide effective solutions, basic program design skills, consulting mindset with executional skills.
  • Confidence to partner with HR and business management independently.
  • Ability to build trustful relationships with key stakeholders and HR Partners. Commercial awareness, customer focus, understanding of HR and business strategy and processes.
  • Ability to advise HR to prioritize resources and make focuses of talent programs with business needs.
  • Executional skills and close follow-ups.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including ability to present and sell concepts to senior stakeholders.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills; ability manage conflict with HR and business partners.
  • Proven project management skills across an international organization.
  • Well-organized, a self-starter with enthusiasm, initiative and passion for talent development.
  • Strong team player but able to work independently.

 

 

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

 

  • University degree or equivalent preferably with a focus in Talent Management, HRM, Psychology or Personnel Management.
  • Minimum 7-8 years progressive work experience in the field of HR (preferably in an international organization, ideally with both HRBP and Talent experience).
  • Experience in the implementation of HR Tools.
  • Experience in managing change initiatives.
  • Growth and international mindset.
  • Fluent in English and Mandarin.
