What you’ll do:
As our Director Go-To-Market at adidas Nordics, you will drive and ensure all strategic categories, including, Football, Running, Sportswear, Lifestyle, and our Training business/brand succeed through the development & execution of an optimal go-to-market strategy with a consumer centric lens and aligned to the Nordic targets.
We’re looking for an experienced leader with proven track record of leading high performing teams, as you will be responsible for a team of 6 delivering local category go to market plans. You’ll own the holistic view of category needs within the Nordic marketplace and will drive input to Europe relying on market analytics and business case approach with a marketplace mindset.
You’ll be a strong relationship builder as the lead marketing point in the Nordics for strategic category planning, working closely with both European and local sales and brand teams to secure fully aligned GTM plans. We’re looking for people who have worked within seasonal processes, as you will drive and execute the full GTM process, including all milestones such as sales launches.
Finally, you’re an excellent communicator who enjoys presenting on stage and interacting with customers during sell-in. This role reports into our Nordic Management team and is a high-profile role within adidas North EU.
We’re looking for:
- A Sporting Goods background – we see this as essential to enable success in this role given the multi-sporting goods category ownership.
- 8+ years of Category Management/ Ranging/ Merchandising Experience, cross-functional marketing and/or sales within Sporting goods and/or fashion industry.
- 4+ years in leading a team, you'll inherit/manage a large team of 6
- Fluent in English (writing and verbal)
- IT skills: Outlook and Word: Basic; Excel and PowerPoint: advanced
- Desirable / not essential; University degree in business, ideally with marketing and sales focus or equivalent professional experience.
Considerations:
- Location/Travel: you will work in our Solna office for 3 days a week, although flexibility & willingness to travel across EU on a monthly level is required.
Life at adidas:
We operate a flexible hybrid model with 3 days in the office (2 fixed days for full collaboration with our colleagues) and the flexibility for you to choose where you work from home on the other 2 days. We also have an optional “Sports Hour” every Thursday @ 11-12, a sports club for you to choose your preferred activity, and an annual fitness allowance.
