You’ll be joining our Stockport Head office, a vibrant hub featuring 18 showrooms, a dedicated Conference Centre and a staff Wellness Hub. You’ll have access to a state-of-the-art gym equipped with Peloton bikes and every piece of kit you could imagine. Plus, an indoor astroturf pitch, a padel court, chat boxes and inspiring creative spaces. Our Stockport team consists of over 350 adidas employees, working across, Brand Marketing, Commercial and Business support functions.

As a Senior Specialist in Inbound Transportation, you’ll play a key role in coordinating shipments, improving processes, and working closely with internal teams and logistics partners to deliver a world-class service. Positions available
We will pool candidates for all 3 positions and ask candidates during interview which position(s) they are interested in.
Senior Specialist Inbound Transportation, Directs - Stockport Head Office Based (X 2 positions)
These positions specialise in direct shipments to our wholesale customers i.e. shipments delivered from ocean / air ports directly to customer DCs, without first being delivered to an adidas DC. These positions involve direct communication with adidas wholesale customers, as well as other internal teams and our Logistics Service Providers.
Senior Specialist Inbound Transportation, Trafford Distribution Centre (TDC) and Milton Keynes- Stockport Head Office Based (X 1 position)
This position specialises in shipments to our TDC (Trafford) and LDN (Milton Keynes) DCs. These positions involve direct communication with adidas DCs, as well as other internal teams and our Logistics Service Providers.
A day in the life:
- Coordinate third-party inbound transportation for direct customers across Europe, ensuring shipments arrive on time and with full visibility.
- Work closely with logistics providers, distribution centres, customs teams and customer service teams to deliver a best-in-class service at optimal cost.
- Recommend and implement improvements to inbound transport processes, focusing on efficiency, reliability and continuous improvement.
- Monitor transit times, container movements and detention/demurrage to ensure smooth operations and minimise additional costs.
- Lead or support internal projects related to inbound transportation for direct customers.
- Build strong working relationships with internal teams and external logistics partners, and represent inbound transportation in cross-functional meetings.

- Previous experience in a supply chain, logistics or transportation role, ideally within a fast-paced operational environment.
- Good understanding of supply chain and inbound transportation processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail.
- Confident user of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with internal teams and external partners.
