Assistant Manager US

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

 

  1. Assist Senior Manager, Outbound and work together with Supervisor for wave release & monitoring to schedule wave release sequence, cooperate supervisor for wave release & Monitoring to release or end pick/pack wave.
  2. Lead and manage unit sorter team to ensure each pick & pack wave be fulfilled by high efficiency through balance the manpower under unit sorter team, to make ensure utilize unit sorter capacity to meet or exceed delivery performance target.
  3. Lead team to achieve efficiency/cost/SLA (service level agreement) KPI target.
  4. Train team staff to comply company safety policy to create a safety environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Planning
  • Work together with supervisor of wave release & monitor closely to work out wave release sequence, according to wave release sequence to arrange manpower within unit sorter team, ensure each pick wave and pack wave be fulfilled by high efficiency, the unique purpose is to fully use unit sorter capacity and meet delivery schedule. 
  • Management
  • Management the unit sorter team on site to execute wave progress, coordinate OB internal team and other relative team to balance efficiency and workload to ensure fully match the final delivery schedule.
  • Support DC manager to create more workable and practical team KPI target and lead the team to reach the target.
  • System and Processes
  • Have enough knowledge for WMS/WCS system. Well understand the logic of WMS/WCS, which support daily operation. Know well distribution center process, always struggle for continuous improvement team operation efficiency and saving cost.

 

  • People Management
  • Well management unit sorter team, good communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Instruct and monitor unit sorter team to ensure facility and staff safety and efficiency compliance with EHS police.
  • Develop people, build up an efficiency and high quality and cost saving team

 

The responsibilities are not limited to the above, the job holder will also follow other work assigned by his/her immediate supervisor

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

 

  • Reading and Writing of English capability.
  • Familiar with WMS system is preferred
  • Good communication skill
  • Stable personality, Customer-driven orientation, Teamwork
  • Competency with Excel, Word, PPT, Access and MS Project is required.

 

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

 

  • University degree or above
  • 3 years warehouse background is needed, auto or semi-auto distribution centre experience is preferred.
  • 2 years related experience on shift leader or above position.
