Senior Manager DC Inventory Excellence
Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:
- The Senior Manager, DC Inventory Excellence is a leader with a strong foundation in internal controls, analytics, business processes, leadership, and communications skills. The DC Inventory Excellence Sr. Manager will work in driving an environment of continuous improvement and ensure the successful realization of business, financial and operational objectives.
- Establish and govern the overall inventory management strategy, including policies for DC capacity, effective utilization level and partner with SCM Planning team to develop a forward-looking inventory excellence roadmap that balance capacity, utilization and service level requirement.
- Own and continuously improve the End-to-End inventory control processes, including cycle counting, physical inventories and discrepancy resolution which comply with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Planning and Strategy
- Based on the monthly inventory forecast to review the inventory level across all DCs and proactively identify and quantify risks and opportunities, and leading cross-functional alignment and actions well executed
- Partner with the SCM Planning/Demand Planning to improve the inventory balance to reduce the overall inventory handling cost and mitigate the risks of overflow
- Drive overall inventory reduction and cross-channel inventory optimization by driving or co-leading different cross-functional initiatives
- Co- Lead system enhancement with IT and Data analytics to improve inventory ‘s visibility across DCs, channels and reporting’s automation
Systems and Processes
- Establish Omni-channel inventory management process to provide a holistic view of targets, demand and supply.
- Support and/or identify key performance indicators (KPI), opportunities for improvement and root cause analysis while driving standardization and consistency of operational processes and best practices.
- Participate in the development and standardization of warehouse management systems and new Distribution Centers and/or expansion of existing facilities to ensure accurate transactional inventory and appropriate inventory functionality.
- Manage the team to ensure the accurate valuation of inventory through the monitoring, review and analysis of inventory reports, identification of inventory related issues, investigations, root cause analysis and the correction of errors and deficiencies.
Finance and KPI
- Ensure the accuracy of inventory fact base. Develop, implement, and monitor Internal Controls (Audit). Executes key controls related to DC Shrink, Cycle Counts, Inventory Adjustments, Month End Accruals and User Access.
- Self-Audit DC inventory and ensure all the record is documented, and compliance with internal audit and the local regulations.
- Manage Inventory related KPIs: DC utilization, slotting efficiency, inventory turnover, tail inventory rate, shelf error, short shipment, etc.
Leadership
- Identify, develop, and manage associate resources through hiring, training, evaluation, coaching, developing, disciplining and termination.
- Accountable for the department labor and expense budget.
