Senior Specialist, Global Key Accounts Planning

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization

 

This role supports the Global Key Accounts (JD Sports & Foot Locker) Sales Team by providing data-driven insights through seasonal and financial forecasting, demand planning, and sell-through performance analysis. The goal is to optimize sales performance, identify growth opportunities, and support strategic initiatives that drive market share and revenue across the Global Key Accounts (GKA) channel and the broader adidas business.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Sales & Forecasting Analytics

 

  • Analyze weekly sell-through and weeks-of-cover data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas of risk.

  • Provide consistent Order Book management support to the GKA Sales Team.

  • Support funding requests, including cancellations and other in-season adjustments.

  • Identify in-season business risks and opportunities versus plan, and provide actionable recommendations to enhance performance.

  • Deliver weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports detailing business performance by category and account.

 

Forecasting & Planning

 

  • Support the implementation and execution of seasonal and financial forecasting.

  • Contribute to GTM (Go-to-Market) planning by coordinating forecast-related inputs and customer financial reporting.

  • Assist with strategic outlook planning and long-term forecasting aligned with global objectives and localized market needs.

 

Reporting & Insights

 

  • Provide ad-hoc reporting and insights for both the GKA channel and specific customer needs.

  • Translate complex retail and sales data into actionable insights for internal and external stakeholders.

  • Localize global strategies by integrating customer, category, and market-specific insights.

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

 

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with SAP and Business Intelligence (BI) tools is a plus.

  • Strong understanding of retail math and sell-through analysis, with the ability to translate data into strategic recommendations.

  • Ability to recognize retail and consumer trends and apply them to business decisions.

  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills; capable of managing multiple tasks under tight deadlines with strong attention to detail.

  • Confident communicator, able to present data-driven insights clearly to managers, peers, and external partners.

  • Proven ability to build strong relationships and collaborate effectively with internal cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.

  • Positive team player, committed to contributing to a high-performance and collaborative culture.

Requisite Education and Experience

 

  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field preferred (but not essential if experience is strong).

  • Relevant experience in data analytics, sales planning, retail operations, or financial forecasting is advantageous.
