Director Human Resources (Taiwan)
Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:
The Director HR Taiwan is the strategic HR leader for adidas Taiwan. The role shapes and drives adidas Taiwan’s people strategy aligned with Greater China priorities, strengthens organizational capability, leads talent strategies, ensures compliance, and fosters a high performing and inclusive culture. The role also leads adidas Taiwan HR team, and partners closely with HR COEs, GBS HR (shared services team) and co-located Global HR to deliver a strong people experience.
Key Responsibilities:
A. Strategic HR Leadership & Business Partnership
- Partner with Taiwan senior leaders to define and execute strategic people priorities aligned with business and Greater China strategy.
- Advice on organization effectiveness, leadership capability, culture, and workforce planning.
- Use data, insights, and dashboards to guide people decisions and shape future workforce strategies.
- Maintain external perspective on Taiwan HR trends, labor market dynamics, and HR best practices.
- Lead change management in line with evolving organization structure to win in the marketplace
B. Site / Legal Entity Leadership & HR Team Management
- Serve as the primary HR representative for adidas Taiwan legal entity, ensuring labor law compliance, governance, and policy adherence.
- Lead, coach, and develop Taiwan HR team, ensuring strong delivery and strategic alignment.
- Provide direction based on Global and GCA People & HR Strategy to ensure harmonized implementation and one HR voice.
- Partner with Workplaces, Finance, Legal Counsel, and Employee Groups to deliver an cohesive employee experience.
- Act as senior escalation point for complex employee relations matters.
C. Talent, Culture, Engagement & Change Enablement
- Drive the talent agenda including leadership bench readiness, succession planning, and future capability building.
- Coach leaders to strengthen people management, elevate team effectiveness, and build leadership maturity.
- Drive culture activation to foster an inclusive, engaging, and high-performance environment.
- Partner with leadership teams on internal communication moments such as Town Halls, Employee Meetings.
- Support organizational changes through clear communication, alignment, and implementation.
D. Core People Processes
- Ensure core people processes (performance management, promotions, salary adjustments, talent reviews, succession planning) are executed with excellence.
- Ensure employee lifecycle activities meet legal and policy requirements while leveraging COEs and GBS HR.
- Partner with Rewards to implement compensation and benefits programs.
E. Governance, Compliance & External Relations
- Ensure compliance with Taiwan labor laws, employment regulations, and internal governance standards.
- Maintain external relationships with authorities and partners as required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to translate business strategy into people and organizational plans.
- Proven HR leadership with strong stakeholder partnership.
- Broad HR expertise including talent, rewards, workforce planning, and employee relations.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong cross-functional and stakeholder management experience as well as different organizational levels (Global, Market, etc.)
Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree with emphasis in Business Administration, Human Resources Management, or related field.
- At least 12 years of progressive HR leadership and operational delivery experience in multinational company and fast paced retail environment.
- Proven HR business partner, ideally with experience in multiple HR areas, e.g. Rewards, Talent or business function.
- Fluent in English
- Experience in leading mid-sized teams and complex projects within HR
- Experience handling complicated employee relations issues, investigations and downsizing.
