Senior Manager Retail Operations
PURPOSE & OVERALL RELEVANCE FOR THE ORGANISATION:
Play a critical role to drive Retail business growth. Drive the profitability by meeting or exceeding sales & profit targets; Coaching District Managers / Cluster Managers to drive commercial success and excel in retail & customer service; Ensuring proper execution of established policies, procedures, initiatives, and directives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Planning
- Plan objectives with Retail Operations teams to drive business performance and operational efficiency
- Plan objectives with Director Retail Operations
- Plan action plans to reach targeted KPI’s
- Plan retail relevant strategies and projects to drive market share and retail excellence
Management
- Take full ownership of the market and its commercial success
- Plan and prioritize efficient store visits to maximize market performance
- Manage delivery of own retail KPIs and financial KPIs (qualitative and quantitative) in the market
- Ensure proper in-store Brand execution, according to established standards and directives, in all stores
- Pro-actively analyze sell-through figures and develop action plans with District Managers / Cluster Managers to achieve productivity target
- Take ownership on retail expansion in marketplace including new opening, upgrade, remodel and enlargement projects
- Ensure compliance with established policies, procedures, initiatives and directives
- Develop and roll out retail operation tools to maximize operation efficiency
Financial
- Manage and deliver own retail financial KPI’s
- Manage market store P&L
System and Processes
- Manage own retail KPI’s and tracking/reporting systems
- Ensure operational system efficiency and training
People Management
- Create a high-performance culture by setting clear expectations, analyzing performance and giving appropriate and prompt feedback, including actively managing poor performance
- Ensure compliance to established HR policies and procedures
- Recommend structural and/or people movement in store in order to achieve sales and brand targets
- Coordinate with District Managers / Cluster managers on staff recruitment, upskilling, retention and development.
- Partner with HR on relevant HR projects like internal referral, performance review, succession planning, etc.
- Deliver HR relevant KPIs such as fulfilment rate, talent retention, attrition rate, personnel cost and productivity etc.
Training and Development
- Identify and recommend training & development needs for own retail stores
Coach the District Managers / Cluster managers to increase their district sales, productivity and profitability
- Own succession planning for the stores
- Partner closely with the Retail Training Team to ensure quality & efficiency of training programs

REQUISITE EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE / MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in store management, or store network (district) management.
- Minimum 6 years of experience in a retail multinational company
- Bachelor’s degree required and advanced degree in business or related fields preferred
- Strong experience of people and retail operation management
- Fluent in English and Mandarin
- Strong presentation skills
PURPOSE & OVERALL RELEVANCE FOR THE ORGANISATION:
Assist the Retail Operations Manager by supervising all store managers within the district, leading them to achieve the delivery of retail and financial KPIs of the district.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Objective & Target:
- Supervise the delivery of own retail and financial KPI in his/her own retail district.
- Work with the Retail Operations Manager to plan Stores’ objectives with Head of Retail.
Operation:
- Monitors performance of own retail stores in terms of sales and operations through targets and key performance indicators.
- Supervise the stores managers and lead them in making their development plans.
- Supervise the KPIs tracking and reporting systems
- Provide programs and promos for the company-owned shops, as well as oversee the implementation of said projects.
- Visit all stores in your area frequently. Weekend or annual festival attendance arrangements will depend on the situation. Also, checking shoe line per category types. If necessary, increase/decrease the type according to the immediate needs.
- Arrange monthly meeting with all the Shop Managers in your area to review the current shoe line and make recommendations as to which improvements are required
- Co-ordinate and supervise the activities of all under you and ensure that all procedures are done in accordance with Company policy and standard and maintained.
Data Analysis:
- Work with the Retail Operations Manager in analyzing the sell-through figures and develop action plans with stores managers to achieve targets.
Budget and Expenses:
- Ensure control of expenses as per budget
- Check monthly sales budgeted per shop per week
Personnel Management:
- Lead Cluster Manager/Store manager to achieve KPI of their respective area, including Sales, store personnel management and department store contacts
- Plan training and management plan of store retail teams
- Recommend structural or human changes in store in order to achieve sales and image targets
- Coordinate with store managers staff recruitment and development plan.
- Identify talents to be recruited for other company functions.
- Recommends to training department training and development needs for own retail
- Ensure quality of efficiency of training within own retail

REQUISITE EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE / MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 7-8 years of experience in store management, or store network (district) management.
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in a retail multinational company
- College or University Degree
- Good spoken and written English
