Assistant Manager Category Management Running, BU Running and Motorsports, Brand adidas

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

DRIVE category range plans in country/cluster within guidelines set by Global.

 

Key Responsibilities:   

  • Support to build 3-5 year category plan based on overall adidas SBP (strategic business plan) process (in collaboration with Global)
  • Drive GTM with focusing on Product – Story - Availability
  • Responsible for category forecast within IBP across all channels
  • Deliver financial expectations in NS and Sell out across all channels
  • Set Japan pricing corridor for category range
  • Define & implement Japan channels allocation for global allocated products
  • Build powerful, compelling, commercial, viable range/concept selection for Japan to support the overall brand strategy, purpose & direction
  • Lead all creation needs, validate SMU (product special make-up) requests for Japan and leverage Creation Center Tokyo to fulfill Japan needs to support the SBP
  • Support Seasonal Category activation and Franchise calendar, including being consultant for Account SWB calendar
  • Support to create category CI (commercial input) and the communication with Global BU to get Japan needs prioritized
  • Take responsibility for Sell-through of category across Japan, be able to provide insights and to drive actions behind the performance tracking dashboards and share update with Global BU
  • Proactively support category mitigation plan when OTB having the gap
  • Support hosting global BU visit

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • At least 1-3 years of marketing management;
  • Exposure to other marketing disciplines preferable, e.g. merchandising, brand communication, or sales experience;
  • Must have the ability to influence others within an organization.
  • Result-oriented;
  • Strong numerical / Analytical skills;
  • Willing and able to travel on a regular basis

  • Preferably in retail/apparel/ FMCG/White goods

  • Retail / FMCG / Fashion

 

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

  • Degree in Business/Marketing Management preferred.
