Manager Assortment Planning BU Sportswear & Training, Brand adidas
Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:
Team member of holistic Store Assortment Plans for Sales Chanels and accounts in scope, Including Shop In Shop, Cross account assortment (Common Range), working closely with Planning & Insight, Business Unit(BU), Brand Activation and Sales Channels to populate and deploy Key Brand concepts in the marketplace.
Key Responsibilities:
- Combine/validate category range plans from BU, and finalize into a holistic, full store format assortment plan (width only)
- Sense-check, feedback and confirm the final output of each store format against brand and commercial objectives (product type, launch flow, marketing calendar, mandatory range, retail space, consumer journey, etc.)
- Output all merchandising boards for all store formats
- Handover assortment plans to Visual merchandising Team for output of Visual Merchandising(VM) renderings
- Handover assortment plans to the Account teams for store level planning and depth completion
- Deliver assortment plan(AP) presentations at Seasonal Sales Summit and provide material and support for Sales Training, Accounts Pre-lines, Tenjikai
- AP room Sample merchandising / Management together with BU Category and VM for Sales Training, Accounts Pre-lines, Tenjikai
- Sell In & Sell Through tracking & analysis
- Validate buy plan (where applicable)
Key Relationships:
- Go To Market(GTM) Operations and BU
- Brand Communications
- Sales Channels (Wholesale Key Accounts, Retail Buying, e-Commerce)
- Account sales and category sales, buyers
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Marketing, merchandising and/or retail experience, with a distinct track record of success
- Strong presentation/communications skills
- Advanced user of MS Office suite of products
- Solid merchandising experience with retail end in mind
- Passion for sports
Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
- University degree in Business or equivalent professional experience, ideally in Sales and/or Marketing
- Minimum 3-5 years relevant working experience
- Intermediate in English
- Fluent in Japanese
