Senior Director HR
PURPOSE & OVERALL RELEVANCE FOR THE ORGANISATION:
Provide comprehensive HR service to the defined support area and ensure that the internal customers get value-adding support in terms of recruitment and all other HR related issues.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Supports Japan business leadership and teams as business partner
• Serve as global functional HR team contact window
• Execute HR functional initiatives
• Support to the market leadership team and functions
• Work closely with Line Management to understand their business needs and translate business priorities into HR initiatives
• Act as a consultant on all HR-related topics to the managers and employees of the support area, e.g. HC planning, team structure, performance management, etc.
• Facilitate on annual personnel budgeting process and rolling forecasts
• Facilitate annual salary round and promotions/ salary adjustment process for defined areas in accordance with the company policies and process
• Facilitate the implementation of Personnel & Management Development tools and concepts
• Facilitate the business on employee engagement-related topics (team meetings, engagement workshops, team buildings etc.)
• Provide insights on rewarding system, including external competitiveness, sales commission effectiveness, etc.
• Supervise HR reports on regular basis
• Actively participate in/ Lead HR ad hoc projects and initiatives
• Provide job coaching for subordinates
• Set performance plan with direct reports; review and evaluate performance

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
• Ability to implement strategy
• Proven leadership and management abilities as strategic HR business partner
• Strong presentation/communication, negotiation and influencing skills, especially with senior stakeholders within a global matrix organization.
• Organized and efficient
• Broad HR experience, with a distinct track record of success.
• Strong cross-functional and stakeholder management experience as well as different organizational levels (Global, Market, etc.)
REQUISITE EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE / MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• At least 10 years HR experience in multinationals companies. Regional experience preferred.
• Good understanding of FMCG/ consumer goods industry
• Industry – Ideally in apparel/ fashion or FMCG
• Familiar with commercial environment
• Bachelor's Degree in business related discipline is required
• Fluent in English and Japanese (written and spoken)
