What you’ll do
As an Area Manager at adidas, you’ll be accountable for leading the operations of an area, owning technical and disciplinary responsibilities, people management and overall leadership of the designated area.
The position initiates, manages and supports the continuous improvement of the area following Performance Excellence Standards and the adidas DC Excellence Framework principles to ensuring best in class execution in terms of reliable planning, productivity and capacity; always securing accomplishment of customer requirements and service level agreements in observance of health safety rules.
Supporting local DC and European KPIs and Supply Chain initiatives.
Skills you’ll need for Area Manager role

Strong strategic, analytical, solution-oriented, and process-oriented mindset
- Ability to assess complex situations and develop data-driven solutions
- Proactively identifies process inefficiencies and implements continuous improvement initiatives
Mediation and persuasion skills, consensus skills, conflict resolution skills
- Skilled in navigating multiple viewpoints to reach mutually beneficial agreements
- Uses active listening and negotiation techniques
Experience with modern warehouse control and warehouse management systems
- Proficient in optimising workflows through system automation and real-time tracking
- Familiar with key WMS functionalities, including inventory control and order fulfilment
High degree of commitment / self-motivation
- Takes ownership of tasks and drives results for the betterment of your team and area
- Consistently seeks opportunities for professional development and skill enhancement
Shift Pattern
4 week rotation working days and nights.
Example shift pattern:
Week 1: 16:00 – 00:00
Week 2: 10:00 – 18:00
Week 3: 8:00 – 16:00
Week 4: 18:00 – 2:00
