Manager, Performance Management

PURPOSE    

 

The SCM Intelligence & Performance Manager is responsible for leading the design, development, governance, and delivery of reporting and analytics solutions that support end-to-end supply chain operations, with emphasis on Logistics and Distribution Center performance. This role bridges business and technology by translating operational requirements into scalable data solutions, ensuring reporting accuracy, consistency, and alignment with enterprise data frameworks. The position drives data-informed decision-making, improves operational performance visibility, and leads a team in delivering high-impact analytics that support strategic and tactical supply chain objectives. 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

REPORTING DEVELOPMENT & DELIVERY

  • Gain in-depth understanding of current and future-state reporting needs, identifying gaps between operational requirements and existing reporting capabilities. 
  • Lead structured requirements gathering sessions with supply chain, logistics, and distribution stakeholders. 
  • Develop scalable semantic models and data structures to support consistent reporting across business functions. 
  • Create business requirements for new or enhanced data feeds from WMS, ERP, TMS, or other Supply Chain IT systems. 
  • Ensure data integrity, governance, and standard KPI definitions across reporting assets. 
  • Optimize report performance and usability to support both detailed operational analysis and executive-level summaries. 
  • Manage version control, documentation, and deployment processes. 

 

ADVANCED ANALYTICS & PERFORMANCE INSIGHTS

  • Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, risks, and opportunities across supply chain operations. 
  • Develop actionable insights to improve KPIs such as throughput, labor productivity, service levels, inventory flow, and cost control. 
  • Partner with operational leaders to validate findings and drive performance improvements. 

 

DATA ARCHITECTURE & SYSTEMS INTEGRATION 

  • Lead or support relational data warehouse (RDB DWH) development and management initiatives. 
  • Utilize SQL and PL/SQL to design, optimize, and maintain data structures and transformation logic. 
  • Ensure reporting solutions align with enterprise data governance standards. 
  • Collaborate on system enhancements impacting WMS, ERP, transportation, or labor management systems. 
  • Identify opportunities to improve automation, scalability, and performance of reporting environments. 

 

LEADERSHIP & PROJECT MANAGEMENT

  • Serve as Project Lead for reporting and analytics initiatives across the supply chain network. 
  • Manage priorities, timelines, and resource allocation to meet critical deadlines. 
  • Mentor and develop analysts and BI developers. 
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performance team environment. 
  • Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders at all organizational levels, including non-technical audiences and executive leadership.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

 

  • SQL 
  • Experience in RDB DWH development and management (PLSQL) preferred 
  • Power BI 
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications 
  • Experience in a distribution center or warehousing facility preferred 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • Ability to present data at a detail or summary level including to non-technical stakeholders 
  • In-depth knowledge of end-to-end Supply Chain processes with Logistics and/or Distribution Center emphasis 
  • Execute a high degree of analytical and logical thinking, as well as management skills related to all aspects of distribution planning operations 
  • Advanced querying and data analysis techniques 
  • Strong understanding of Warehouse Management Systems and interfaces with the warehouse systems, including Supply Chain IT systems (Manhattan preferred) 
  • Work collaboratively as Project Lead or Management 
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written 
  • Strong team player with the ability to lead and work with diverse groups 
  • Strong organizational and planning ability to meet critical deadlines 

 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to

REQUISITE EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE / MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • Bachelor's degree is preferred  (equivalent combination of education and/or experience can be substituted for degree).  
  • 3+ years of relevant business experience

For work requiring a high degree of collaboration or an in-person presentation, in-office attendance is required even on Friday.  The working location of this position is Wilkes Barre, PA.
